AC Milan – Hellas Verona betting tip, prediction & odds 15/02/2025

Serie A, Saturday, 15/02/2025 at 8:45 p.m.

After the narrow defeat against Feyenoord, everything is still possible for Milan in the second leg, no question. In the meantime, however, they have to play an important Serie A game, which they should not find too difficult to win.

In any case, that is my undisguised assumption in my AC Milan Hellas Verona prediction.

After all, the Veronese are currently in a disastrous state and are also missing their yellow-carded defensive leader Daniele Ghilardi. So this could end just as badly for them as it did last week against Bergamo.

Between the two Champions League playoff duels against Feyenoord, the “Rossoneri” have an important home game in the Serie A. A win is mandatory to keep up with the top six.

Despite a turbulent game against Empoli, in which both teams received a red card, the 19-time Italian champions secured a commanding 2-0 victory in the previous week.

After the game, coach Sérgio Conceição felt vindicated in his courageous decision to continue playing offense despite being short-handed.

It is precisely this approach that could now be called for against the guests from the city of Romeo and Juliet, because leaving points on the table is not an option for the Milanese.

But if Milan really wants to set its sights on a European place, it needs one thing above all: consistency. And that is precisely the problem.

It has been months – five, to be precise – since the traditional club celebrated two Serie A victories in a row.

Since then, they have won seven, drawn six and lost four of their 17 Serie A games, including a narrow 1-0 win over the “Gialloblu” in the first leg.

This record is not disastrous, but it is also not good enough for a team that secretly wants to become champions again!

At least the direct record speaks clearly for the favorites: Milan have won the last eight encounters with the northern Italians, which certainly gives them additional self-confidence.

It could be another bitter evening for the visitors from Verona if you look at their previous performances against the top teams in the league.

Although they were recently able to pick up four important points against direct rivals in the relegation battle – a 1-1 draw against Venezia and a 1-0 win over Monza – as soon as they face more ambitious opponents, they usually suffer heavy defeats.

Case in point: their latest 5-0 loss to Atalanta was already their third game in the last five in which they didn’t score a single goal.

The other two clear defeats came against Lazio (0-3) and Napoli (0-2), which shows a clear pattern: as soon as the opponents reach a certain level, it gets really uncomfortable for Verona.

Since their surprise 3-0 opening win over Napoli, Verona have suffered only defeats against all the teams currently in the top seven, and with a frightening goal difference of 3:30.

The average defeat is therefore brutal, with a goal difference of exactly three. Looking at these statistics, another clear victory for the home side seems almost inevitable.

But be careful: the pressure is clearly on Milan, who have not always been at the top of their game in recent months. If the visitors can keep the game open for a long time, it could be more uncomfortable for the home side than expected.

All in all, however, there is little to suggest an upset. Verona lacks the quality to keep up with teams from the upper half of the table, while Milan rarely slip up at home.

Those who want to bet on a confident home win should be on the safe side with this bet. After all, I believe that the AC is strong enough again, especially after the change of coach, to easily bag points that were thought to be safe!

From the current AC Milan Hellas Verona odds, which you can check out yourself at any verified betting provider, you can’t make much profit in terms of a home win.

The 1.38 odds offered for this are simply too low to recommend profitable football bets based on this alone.

What I can well imagine, however, is that the Milanese will sweep over Verona just as the Bergamasks did last week.

Not least because AC have scored at least three goals in four of their five Serie A wins this season.

“AC to win & Over 2.5 goals” at an average odds of 1.88 is therefore preferable to a meager home win bet in any case.

Conclusion: Milan host Verona with a clear advantage, because while both teams have a suspended player to spare, Verona’s loss of defensive leader Ghilardi weighs significantly more heavily than that of Tomori.

The Rossoneri have the upcoming UCL playoff second leg with Feyenoord to think about, but Verona are currently frighteningly unstable.

Defensively vulnerable and often overwhelmed against top teams, the visitors are likely to concede several goals again. Milan have the quality to decide the game early and could get a convincing home win to boost their confidence.

My AC Milan Hellas Verona betting tip: Home win & Over 2.5 goals.
