Is it an advantage or a disadvantage for Milan to have had a whole weekend to prepare for this north-south classic?
The heavy rainfall in Bologna has led the Italian Football Federation, FIGC, to postpone the “Rossoneri” game scheduled for Saturday to an unspecified date.
In my AC Milan Naples betting tip, I will go through the most relevant betting scenarios with you that an old hand like myself will consider for the 10th Serie A match day.
Of course, there is also a lot of resentment surrounding this game. Because there has been bad blood between the Milanese and the Neapolitans when it comes to football for ages.

Analysis: AC Milan vs Napoli
Napoli fans are ecstatic, and at the foot of Vesuvius, people are confident that they won’t have to wait another 33 years to become champions again.
That’s because SSC is at the top of the table with five straight wins. This series consists of four Serie A wins over Monza, Como, Empoli and Lecce, and a cup win over Palermo.

I still think that the chance of a draw is extremely high and has been well priced at an average of 3.50.
Secretly, however, I consider the double chance X2 bet with odds of around 1.62 to be the slightly better offer, even though the payout is of course not quite as high.
Napoli, however, are in outstanding form, while Milan will sorely miss both Théo Hernandez and Tijjani Reijnders. Both are suspended. Given these circumstances, I think a home win is very unlikely!
Napoli usually own the second half!
Watch out for the second 45 minutes! Napoli have been impressively strong in the second half this season and, after nine matchdays, have the best Serie A record after the restart, with 6 wins, 2 draws and just 1 defeat.
This ability to step up a gear after half-time could prove decisive, especially against Milan. If the Rossoneri aren’t on their guard, they could be caught out by the Partenopei.
Be warned: after half-time, Napoli are ready to dominate the game and secure the points!
SSC with problems against Milan!
The Serie A clash between Milan and Napoli promises to be an exciting contest that will keep football fans on both sides on the edge of their seats.
When we look back at the 2023/24 season, we quickly realize that it was the “Rossoneri”, of all teams, who put a stop to the SSC express, which had been marching through Italy until then – and did so multiple times!
In fact, the Neapolitans have not been able to beat Milan in five competitive games – two draws and three defeats is a meager record.
Meanwhile, the “Azzurri” have improved their defense: they have kept a clean sheet in their last three away league games (2 wins, 1 draw).
That is their longest run since the 2022/23 season, when they kept six consecutive clean sheets away from home.
Are memories coming back? It may be too early to dream of a second Scudetto in three years, but they are just one point behind their successful record from nine matchdays from that season.
On the Milan side, Samuel Chukwueze is putting in impressive performances, with two goal involvements in the last two games, including a goal against Udinese.
In current form, he could be the key player to keep the Neapolitans at bay. However, I doubt that the AC under Paulo Fonseca is capable of similar performances to those under Stefano Pioli!
With this history and the current statistics, the clash between Milan and Naples will be a real treat for all football fans with a weakness for exciting Serie A betting!
My Tip:
Stefano Pioli was an experienced coach under whom I would have expected AC Milan to pull off an upset. His successor Paulo Fonseca, on the other hand, is not yet firmly in the saddle and is not as clever a tactician as the Italian.
However, the Milanese had additional time at the weekend to prepare for the upcoming game, which I see as an advantage.
All in all, this important duel for both sides could easily end in a draw, given the starting position, but at the end of the day, I do favor SSC to some extent.
