Aliou Cissé has been the national coach of Senegal since March 2015, but the association has now parted ways with the 48-year-old. The former central defender (including PSG and Birmingham) had led the Teranga Lions to triumph at the Africa Cup in 2022 and to two World Cup finals. Senegal are currently on eight points after four games in the World Cup qualifiers – but the association has reacted because, apart from the results, the performance has not been right recently
