The 0-4 defeat against Werder Bremen was the last straw for Borussia’s bosses after an already unsuccessful start to the season: Mönchengladbach announced on Monday that they were parting ways with coach Gerardo Seoane. After three matchdays, Borussia are still without a goal and with only one point, making it their tenth Bundesliga game in a row without a win across two seasons. Seoane had been in office since summer 2023 and is already the second coach to be sacked in the early stages of the season, following the departure of Erik ten Hag.
