The 5-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid was the last straw for La Liga bottom club Real Valladolid: The promoted side parted company with coach Paulo Pezzolano on Sunday. The defeat against the top team from the capital was accompanied by protests against Brazil legend Ronaldo as the club’s main shareholder and president. “Ronaldo, go home” was the slogan on a fan banner on Saturday. With nine points from 15 league games, Valladolid are currently four points behind 15th place in the non-relegation zone.
