Possibly the biggest story of recent years is looming at the Ally Pally. Because crowd favorite “Happy Feet” has a really good chance of reaching the round of the last four despite his relatively high world ranking position.

On paper, he is “only” number 86 in the world, but after watching every single performance of “Happy Feet” at this World Cup so far, I am convinced: On a good day, he can really beat anyone.
Against Danny Noppert he played darts from another star in round two – almost flawlessly, with a presence and naturalness that one would hardly have expected him to do before the tournament.
In the following match against Meikle, he presented himself a little less spectacularly, but still very solid and controlled. He may not have been quite as outstanding anymore, but he always had the game under control.
And then came the round of 16 against Josh Rock – and what a game it was! You could literally see how “Rocky” shrugged his shoulders in disbelief in the meantime.
Justin Hood hardly gave him any room to breathe. Whenever a leg went to the home straight, he struck mercilessly.
This ice-cold efficiency is also reflected in an almost unearthly checkout rate of 75 percent – a value that is absolutely extraordinary at this level and impressively underlines the form Hood is currently in.
Now we come to the Darts World Championship bets that you should keep an eye on in this quarter-final. For me, it’s a 50:50 thing, but I tend to lean more towards the Englishman because of the odds.

So precisely because I see so much potential on the part of the supposed underdog to put in a world-class performance again, I am in favor of almost all Darts World Championship bets that see him at least contribute to an extremely close match.
