Odilon Kossounou (24) will not return to Bayer 04 Leverkusen as expected, where he still had one year left on his contract. Instead, Atalanta Bergamo exercised its purchase option (€25 million) for the center back, who had initially been transferred to Lombardy on loan at the start of the past season. The Ivorian international made 18 Serie A and four Champions League appearances for Atalanta.
