After missing out on qualifying for the European Championship, the ÖFB is taking a new approach with the women’s national team. After “intensive analysis”, the decision has been made to change the coaching position, the association announced on Friday. The dismissed Irene Fuhrmann had coached the Austrians in 53 games. “After missing out on qualifying for the European Championships, it seems to me that the time is right to make way for new impetus at the top,” she said.
