Isn’t it still a bit too early for a spectacular finish? Or am I being a little too pessimistic, because nothing can really stop the leaders? FC Barcelona seem to be heading inexorably towards the title!
The Catalans are currently shooting every opponent out of the stadium, and the upcoming home game should be no exception. Accordingly, I’ll tell you what to expect on Saturday in my Barcelona Betis Sevilla tip – and I’m thinking completely offensively
Nine wins in a row, 30 goals – they currently seem unbeatable! FC Barcelona, in case you don’t remember, were in crisis around the turn of the year, winning just one of nine games.
Now, of course, you could say: Where would FC Barcelona be if this crisis hadn’t happened? On the other hand, I would argue against that: Perhaps the current series wouldn’t exist either.
4:1 against Girona, 3:0 against Osasuna, 4:2 against Atletico Madrid, I’ll just list the most recent four results. Hansi Flick’s team have everything under control and lead the league by three points over Real Madrid.
Their second rivals Atletico, who are not doing well at the moment, are already nine points clear. Robert Lewandowski has not missed a game in terms of goals since the end of January, netting twice against Girona.

The second leg was a stark contrast. A goal from Ferran Torres in the first half was enough to win 1:0 and advance to the final. Barca’s performance was extremely confident, not allowing their opponents a single real shot on goal.
Betis Sevilla should simply ignore that and stick to their own performance, because: It has exploded in recent weeks. There had been seven wins in the first 23 rounds – and now suddenly six in a row!
3:0 against Real Sociedad, 2:1 against Getafe, 2:1 against Real Madrid, 1:0 against Las Palmas, 3:2 against Leganes and 2:1 against Sevilla – you really can’t complain about a lack of excitement with these results.
With four goals and three assists, Isco was largely responsible for the upturn in fortunes and, as a former Madrid man, he will be highly motivated against Barcelona anyway.
Three away wins from the last four games? This fact is also encouraging. If you want to find criticism, you’ll see that they’ve only managed to win three times since the end of October.
