Barcelona – Rayo Vallecano betting tip, prediction & odds 17/02/2025

La Liga, Monday, 17/02/2025 at 9:00 pm

The Catalans are now one of the protagonists in my Barcelona Rayo Vallecano betting tip. They are, of course, the clear favorites, but be careful: the guests are in good form! That’s why I’ll tell you exactly what motivated me to apply the “Under 3.5 goals” bet here and take advantage of the odds of 2.00 at Bet-at-home.

50 points for Real, 49 for Atletico, 48 for Barca – it’s a title race that has it all! FC Barcelona seemed to be out of it, going through a phase in which there was only one win in eight rounds.

But now Hansi Flick’s team seems to have recovered. After the brilliant 7-1 win against Valencia, they won 1-0 against Alaves, and then recently added a 4-1 win at Sevilla.

In between, they also played against Valencia in the Copa del Rey, with a similarly clear result of 5-0. Now, of course, the winning streak is to be extended, so the only question is whether the margin will be significant?

If I look at the odds at our bookmakers with a German license, that could well be the case. An average of 1.11 meets an 11.0, that’s a world of difference.

Hansi Flick, Barcelona’s coach, will surely follow this day with interest. His team have two more games before then, and maybe they will be top of the table again soon.

After three home defeats in a row, Barca are back on the right track, although the victories against Valencia and Alaves could not have been more different. Scoring goals or efficiency, what will we see on Monday?

I would definitely like to mention that the Catalans only conceded two goals in the first half at the Olympic Stadium. However, the bookmakers don’t expect Rayo Vallecano to score anyway.

A glance at Interwetten shows: A single goal already brings a rate of 1.63. An even more worthwhile rate, so you can always redeem your free bet at Interwetten with the code “SKIWM25”.

In the first half of the season, Barca could not score a clean sheet, but won 2-1 after falling behind. After five consecutive games without a win against Vallecano, Barcelona finally managed to win the last two games again.

The guests still know, of course, that they have not looked so bad against the big opponent in recent years. Rayo Vallecano are in sixth place going into this game, so they are not badly placed at all.

The team has now gone eight games unbeaten. Particularly pleasing: they have even finished the last three as winners! 2-1 against Girona, 1-0 against Leganes, 1-0 against Real Valladolid, with the exception of one 3-1, all victories had exactly one goal advantage.

Fittingly, five of the six defeats were identically close. 17:15 goals? At home, Rayo has an average of 2.9. And away? We are presented with a number that looks quite different: 1.58 with 10:9 goals!

1:0, 1:1, 1:1, 1:0, 0:1, 1:1, 0:1, 2:1, 0:0, 1:2, 0:0 and 2:1? Not much happens here. The 2.5 has not been cracked for seven away games, but if you would risk it for Monday, you would expect top odds of 3.40.

Leganes, Valencia, Real Valladolid and Real Sociedad? The four opponents that could be beaten away from home are, with one exception, far down in the table – but that certainly does not apply to Barcelona.

Rayo has conceded four goals in the first half in away games, never more than one. The bet “Under 1.5 goals Barca” would just about be worthwhile at Interwetten with a 1.53, but if FCB stays completely goalless before half-time, the value even rises to 3.30!

Beware of Rayo Vallecano! It doesn’t surprise me that FC Barcelona are the overwhelming favorites in their home game against their next opponents, and in principle I can confirm this role based on my analysis.

And yet, I strongly warn against underestimating Rayo. The team is no longer losing, defends extremely strongly and is currently on a winning streak of three consecutive victories.

The bottom line is that I am not in favor of an absolute rout. Since Barca, despite some spectacular results, also had a 1-0 win for Alaves, my tip is now:

We see fewer than 3.5 goals!
