Bayern – Flamengo Tip Club World Cup, Round of 16 on Sunday, 06/29/2025 at 10:00 p.m.
After quickly booking their place in the round of 16 of the Club World Cup, Bayern seemed to take their foot off the gas in their third group game, resulting in a surprising 0-1 defeat to Benfica.
Not least, heavy rotation contributed to their first ever defeat against the Portuguese, but hopefully the regulars will now be well rested for the first knockout round.
Nevertheless, my Bayern Flamengo tip is preparing for fierce resistance from the Brazilians on Thursday, who will probably have to concede defeat in the end…
With their victory in Group C, Flamengo have undoubtedly overachieved – and yet the hard facts seem to speak quite clearly in favor of the German champions in the round of 16.
After deserved victories against Auckland and Boca Juniors, Munich did not disappoint against Benfica either. On the contrary: despite resting numerous key players, FCB had a clear advantage in terms of chances.
If it was perhaps only a lack of concentration that prevented them from finishing, the knockout phase that is now beginning should have a noticeably disciplining effect.
As mistakes will no longer be forgiven from now on, the Munich team knows exactly what is at stake, according to my Bayern Flamengo prediction!
Bayern – Flamengo prediction & bets
My Flamengo Bayern tip may not yield sensational returns, but given the probability that both teams will actually score in this round of 16 match, this bet is definitely worth a try.
The fact that FCB failed to score against Benfica in their last match is an additional argument in favor of a stormy performance. Anyone who knows the Reds knows that this won’t happen again anytime soon.
For this very reason, I am now predicting Bayern goals in both halves of the round of 16, as I did in the matches against Auckland and Boca Juniors. The odds of almost 2.50 offered by bookmakers with PayPal are definitely appealing to me!
At odds of around 1.70, the bookies consider “over 2.5 goals” to be a much safer bet. Since I share this view, the corresponding Bayern Flamengo prediction completes my betting treble.
What you need to bear in mind when betting on Bayern vs. Flamengo
- Flamengo is unbeaten in eleven competitive games (8 wins). In 2025, the club has suffered only four defeats, all with the same result (1-2).
- The 0-1 defeat to Benfica on matchday three was only the third game in which Bayern failed to score in 2025 (0-0 against Bayer Leverkusen and 0-3 against Feyenoord).
- Flamengo (4.53 odds against Bayern) went into their last two games against European opponents as underdogs. Flamengo stood at 6.50 in the 2019 CWC final against Liverpool. Filipe Luis’ team emerged victorious against Chelsea with odds of 3.75.
- Flamengo has played three games against European teams, defeating Liverpool and Chelsea, but also losing 0-1 to the Reds in extra time in the 2019 CWC final.
- Michael Olise received a perfect 10 rating from SofaScore for his two goals and two assists in just 45 minutes against Auckland. With five direct goal contributions (3 goals, 2 assists), he is currently the best player in the Club World Cup.
Bayern – Flamengo: odds analysis
Flamengo, currently considered the underdog in the round of 16 against Bayern Munich, also went into the last two matches against European opponents as the underdog.
Flamengo was already the big underdog in the 2019 Club World Cup final against Liverpool, and at least against Chelsea, Filipe Luis’ team emerged victorious.
After Flamengo performed significantly better than expected in both matches, our in-house artificial intelligence is now, quite understandably, throwing the double chance for the Brazilians into the ring at odds of around 2.20.
While it may be some consolation for Bayern fans that betting on FCB not winning within regular time is already considered a risky venture, Bayern Flamengo AI tips are also proving popular with Munich gamblers with a high-odds offer.
Looking at his record so far, it’s totally plausible that Michael Olise could score in the round of 16 – and yet such a goal is already good for strong odds of 3.20 at bookmaker Betano.
However, since there is always room for a little more in terms of odds, I am also taking note of the third AI tip – without necessarily agreeing with it.
Predicting results isn’t always my thing. Should our in-house model prove correct with its predicted 2-1 win for Bayern, this would be good for a payout of 8.5 times the stake.
Since FCB already defeated Boca by the same score in the preliminary round, you can consider this tip with an open mind, regardless of my reservations!
The best odds for Bayern vs. Flamengo
Although FC Bayern goes into the round of 16 of the Club World Cup with the supposedly better cards, even the betting odds indicate that there will be no easy opponents in the United States from now on.
A straight win for Munich within regular time would earn more than 1.7 times the stake. This is a return that is certainly not always the norm when FCB takes to the field.
In contrast, the odds on the challengers reflect the growing respect for the Brazilians, who have generally performed excellently in the Club World Cup so far.
A draw after 90 minutes would now almost quadruple the stake, while even a narrow “5” can be expected if Flamengo eliminates the German record champions without extra time.
Bayern vs. Flamengo match analysis:
FC Bayern Munich will face Flamengo in the quarterfinals of the Club World Cup – and it won’t be an easy task.
The Brazilian team is undefeated, finished top of its group and showed with a 3-1 win over Chelsea that it can compete with the best teams in Europe.
FC Bayern started the tournament with a 10-0 win against Auckland, but then had a tougher time than expected. Bayern narrowly beat Boca and finished second in their group after losing to Benfica.
If the Munich team wants to win this tournament, they will have to improve.
One player who stood out in particular, however, was Michael Olise. He scored two goals and set up two more against Auckland before scoring the winner against Boca in the closing stages.
His ability to cut inside and finish with his left foot makes him particularly dangerous against a well-organized Brazilian side. Only the very best will progress, but Olise is definitely one of them.
Olise doesn’t need any extra praise – but I’m going to give it to him anyway. Last season, he was involved in 29 goals in 34 Bundesliga games and scored five goals in the Champions League.
He’s fast, powerful and can finish chances in dozens of different ways. Stopping him will be crucial for Flamengo.
FC Bayern Munich form check
We haven’t learned too much about Bayern in this Club World Cup yet. The clear win against Auckland City was to be expected – and against the stubborn Boca team, they did just enough to get through.
With Munich already qualified, they rotated their squad against Benfica, who needed at least a point to secure their place in the next round. Without Michael Olise, Kingsley Coman, and Harry Kane, they didn’t look quite right.
So this will be a real test for Vincent Kompany. His team is one of the favorites to win the tournament, but with some top-notch teams still waiting in the US, he won’t be taking things lightly.
Does Bayern have what it takes to go all the way? After their heroic performance against Chelsea, some bettors will probably be backing Flamengo in the round of 16. Do you dare to bet against Mengão?
Flamengo form check
Flamengo has not made any mistakes in the Club World Cup so far. After almost 50 games as head coach, Filipe Luis is showing how he has brought this team of superstars together. On Sunday, they now want to topple another European giant.
It wasn’t the most beautiful game when they drew against LAFC in their last group match. However, as the Brazilians had already qualified, they were able to rest important players and wait for their opponents in the knockout stages.
The round of 16 against Bayern will be a difficult task for the club, but Filipe Luis has got his team in incredible shape.
He will want to prove himself on the world stage against one of the best teams in Europe. The bookies are on Bayern’s side, but Flamengo has shown that it has nothing to fear from anyone.
My prediction: Both teams to score
