According to consistent media reports from Spain and Greece, Rafael Benitez is close to signing with traditional Greek club Panathinaikos. The 65-year-old has reportedly agreed to a contract with the Athens club that will run until the summer of 2027. After leaving Celta Vigo in the spring of 2024, the former successful coach had been out of the spotlight.
