But before the second leg, important points have to be collected in the Bundesliga. Anything but impossible, after all, it’s an away game against the bottom of the table.
In my Bochum Dortmund betting tip, I am predicting that BVB will score at least two goals – and have placed my bet accordingly with Interwetten.
Strong defense and efficient use of chances up front – that was a strong performance at Sporting Lisbon, a really unpleasant opponent who have now found themselves again after the change of coach.

Odds analysis
Ultimately, in my opinion, the combination with Dortmund’s victory is the perfect combination for anyone who wants to achieve overall odds in the doubler range. In addition, BVB is definitely showing signs of improvement.
Borussia has won three of its last four games, against Heidenheim it achieved its second away win in the Bundesliga, and against Sporting it also worked internationally. In total, we saw eleven Dortmund goals in the last five games.
Gregor Kobel was also pleased in the Portuguese capital with the first clean sheet after 13 games with a goal against. By the way, only one match has been played in the Bundesliga without conceding a goal away from home – in Bremen on matchday 2.

Now I’ve talked a lot about BVB, which has been one of the core topics in the sports media in the last few days, weeks and months. How are things looking for Bochum? They were able to take a point home from Kiel (2:2) last time out.
It was a very respectable game, for which I could recommend the goal of both teams as a suitable bet. After all, the two most fragile defensive chains faced each other, so we saw some scoring chances.

There are just five points separating VfL from safety and one point from the relegation place. But not many points have been scored in recent weeks. There were just five points in 2025 in total. The only win came against St. Pauli (1-0).
In addition, a 0-2 against Mainz, 0-3 against Gladbach and 0-1 against Freiburg, as well as a 3-3 against Leipzig and a 2-2 against Kiel. In other words: in half of the games, the Ruhrpott kickers didn’t score a goal, which is why I finally focus on the Dortmund offense when making my decision.
