Premier League, Thursday, 05.12.2024 at 21:15
The first interim conclusion after 13 matchdays: Disappointing, far from what it would take to play a leading role in our Premier League championship betting. No, you really can’t be satisfied in north London.
Spurs are in danger of dropping into the dismal midfield, while their upcoming opponents have just two points less to their name. Reason enough to tell you in my Bournemouth Tottenham betting tip why I’m backing shaky defenses and therefore combining a “Both teams to score” with “Over 2.5 goals”
Tottenham are seventh, Bournemouth twelfth – and yet there are a measly two points separating the two teams! While Liverpool are running away from everyone, the Premier League is going from strength to strength behind them.
From the north Londoners’ point of view, of course, you could simply say that they have fallen miles short of their own expectations. Six wins, two draws and five defeats – nothing to do with the best
Only once, around two and a half months ago, did they win two games in a row. The team is actually considered to be strong at home and has scored at least three goals four times at home. There was no sign of that in the recent 1:1 draw against Fulham.
It’s a bit strange anyway: either Tottenham score three or more goals and win. Or the club scores less than three goals and doesn’t score three times!

Only once did they score two goals, in all other games less or even more. In the last away game, a perfect 4:0 against Manchester City was achieved – which was not a matter of course, especially due to the business trip!
Spurs are not exactly what you would call a strong away team. They have already lost three times away from home and, strangely enough, have only won in Manchester (with a 3-0 win at United to boot).
I don’t think anyone really understands how a 4-0 win against the champions-designate can be followed by a 1-1 draw against Fulham and a 2-1 loss against promoted Ipswich just a few days earlier.
After the bad news of Guglielmo Vicario, the injured number 1, broke over Spurs, Fraser Forster had to stand between the posts. That worked out quite well in the 1-1 draw against Fulham, and also against Bournemouth?
I wouldn’t say that the upcoming opponent is a fearful opponent, just that the north Londoners have to push themselves to their limits from time to time. Two defeats from 13 games, that’s something to be proud of.
3:1, 2:0, 2:3, 3:2, 0:0, 3:2, 0:1? The list of recent results clearly shows that Bournemouth cannot simply be beaten in passing. Incidentally, the two faced each other on matchday 14 in 2019 and 2022.
The Spurs won both duels 3:2. I inevitably take a look at Betway and look for the corresponding result bet. The odds show me 15.0, and at Betway you should definitely take advantage of the new customer bonus.
Speaking of odds, the bookmakers are not so sure whether they want Tottenham to start the game as the favorite or not. 2.60 to 2.40? The visitors’ advantage is really hardly measurable!
Bournemouth are currently in 13th place. That may not sound particularly attractive, but with a nine-point lead over the relegation zone, the Cherries are very happy with that.
After two defeats against Brentford (2:3) and Brighton (1:2), they won again with a 4:2 win against Wolverhampton, meaning the team has never lost more than two games in a row.
Two times 0:1, 1:2, 2:3? Four of the five defeats were very close, with Bournemouth only losing 3-0 at Liverpool. 2:1 against Manchester City and 2:0 against Arsenal? Watch out, Tottenham, you’ve got a scary favorite on your hands!
Constancy? That’s a foreign word for Tottenham Hotspur! Things are not going well in the north of the capital, they win far too rarely and slip up too often against underdogs. Is Bournemouth such an underdog?
After all, the Cherries have won their home games against Arsenal and Manchester City! Bournemouth are only two points behind, but have the weakness that they have only won once.
Since Tottenham are also known for wild results, I think a boring match is almost impossible and therefore decide to recommend the following bet:
Both score over 2.5 goals
