It was always clear that summer signing Yan Couto (22) would stay at Borussia Dortmund beyond his loan year. Now the formalities have apparently been settled: According to media reports, including the “Daily Mail”, the purchase obligation for the right-back has now taken effect, meaning he is leaving Manchester City for good. Couto, who has already played for Brazil’s senior national team four times, appeared in seven of BVB’s nine competitive matches this season, four times as a substitute and three times from the start. He collected his only scorer point with an assist in the DFB Cup opener against Phönix Lübeck, which ended 4:1.
