The Champions League broadcast has been opaque for many football fans in Germany and Austria since the first matchday.
Which CL games are being broadcast where in Germany?
For German fans, the Champions League coverage of the first legs in the quarter-finals looks like this: Amazon Prime will broadcast Bayern Munich against Inter Milan on Tuesday (April 8) at 9:00 p.m.
FC Barcelona’s game against Borussia Dortmund can be seen on Wednesday (April 9, 9:00 p.m., live on DAZN).

The Champions League live in Austria is a little different from the broadcast in Germany. The biggest and most important change: DAZN no longer shows the Champions League in Austria! And Servus TV is out too.
The streaming service Canal+ is new to the sports sector and always shows a Wednesday game exclusively.
All other Champions League matches in Austria are shown on Sky Sport Austria. All matches are available here as individual games, as well as a conference with all parallel games on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Germany: Who is showing the Champions League broadcast in 2025 on TV and stream?
The sports streaming service DAZN is the best place to go in Germany for the 2024/25 Champions League broadcasts. It will show 186 of the 203 games in this “king’s class” season live and exclusively.
With Amazon Prime Video, there is a second provider for the transmission of the Champions League in Germany. The online portal of the shipping giant shows one Tuesday game live and exclusively per match day.
That means: DAZN broadcasts all Champions League games of the 2024/25 season live except for one on Tuesday. This is available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
The final will be broadcast on DAZN and also on free-to-air TV on ZDF.

At DAZN, Laura Wontorra will host the top matches, together with top experts Michael Ballack and Sami Khedira. The commentators for the CL matches on DAZN include Jan Platte, Marco Hagemann, Lukas Schönmüller, Uli Hebel and Max Siebald.
Amazon is relying on presenter Alex Schlüter, who was signed by DAZN and replaces Sebastian Hellmann. Matthias Sammer is the expert in the Amazon Prime CL broadcast, with other experts joining him each matchday.
At Amazon, Jonas Friedrich, together with Benedikt Höwedes, is the fixed commentator for the Champions League broadcast every Tuesday.

The Champions League matches in the 2024/25 season will be shown in Austria on Sky Sport Austria and on the streaming service Canal+.
What exactly will the Champions League coverage on Sky and Canal+ look like?
Canal+ will broadcast one match exclusively every Wednesday. All the other matches on the respective match day will be shown on Tuesday, Wednesday and, in some cases, Thursday on Sky Sport Austria.
The Wednesday single game from Canal+ will not be covered in the Wednesday conference on Sky. The final can be seen on both providers.
Commentators and experts on Canal+
Canal+ has put together a prominent team of commentators, moderators and experts for the Champions League broadcasts in Austria.
Austria’s team manager Ralf Rangnick is part of an expert team with former Bayern Munich coach Niko Kovac, Union Berlin captain Christopher Trimmel, Austria’s former national goalkeeper Robert Almer and Johannes Ertl. In addition, Stefan Oesen, the video analyst of the ÖFB national team, will act as co-commentator.
The team of moderators consists exclusively of women: Elisabeth Gamauf, Kathi Wörndl and Amelie Stiefvatter. The commentators include Thomas Trukesitz, who is also the sports director of Canal+, and Andreas Grassl.
