NFL 2024/25: Chiefs – Saints
True to the motto “Saving the best for last”, the defending champions will not enter the arena until Monday night. The arena in question here, by the way, is the legendary Arrowhead Stadium with its massive backdrop.
And since there were several upsets this weekend as well, it is now all the easier for me to venture the Chiefs Saints tip that is available to you. Because New Orleans has all the prerequisites to bring KC to its knees.
The Kansas City Chiefs, reigning Super Bowl champions, are simply hard to beat. Four wins in a row, and each time they have come back from a deficit of at least seven points.
This not only shows how stable and mentally strong they are, but also that they are able to fight their way out of any situation – a real powerhouse to bet on.
But the truth is that KC often had to fight hard to win, and last week against the Falcons was no different.
On the other hand, the New Orleans Saints have had a mixed start. Two wins, but also two bitter defeats in the last two games.
And those were close calls: both times it went wrong in the last few seconds, once by a field goal with only two seconds left on the clock and once by a touchdown just before the end.
With a bit more luck or a few different referee decisions, they could easily be 4-0 – you have to bear that in mind if you are interested in betting on this game.
Despite the setbacks, there is good news for the Saints. The defense is a real force to be reckoned with, especially when it comes to interceptions. They are currently ranked third in the NFL with six picks, and they are also among the top teams in sacks.
And then, of course, there is their star running back Alvin Kamara, who is currently on fire. His quick cuts could pose enormous problems for the defending champions’ run defense.
With the most touches and scrimmage yards in the NFL, Kamara keeps his team in the game and ensures that the offense stays on the field for a long time. Consequently, you wouldn’t want to rule out an upset, especially not given the lucrative Chiefs Saints odds.
The Saints are not necessarily one of my NFL favorites for 2024, but they are not as big an underdog in this game as the betting providers would like you to believe.
Given the many surprises this season, an away win rate of around 3.05 for this game is therefore highly recommended.
Not least because New Orleans already won the last showdown against the Chiefs 26-24 – even if it was a preseason game from the previous season.
Okay, let’s move on to the possible betting scenarios that you should definitely take a look at.
I already have a specific Chiefs Saints tip with a handicap in mind, from which I expect a considerable sports betting payout, but you could even be a bit more sophisticated with the data.
For example, an exciting bet is that the Saints will be ahead after the first half. After all, they have won the first half in five of their last six away games in Week 5. The odds for this are attractively 2.70 on average, and that can be really worthwhile.
Another interesting option concerns the first 15 minutes. The Chiefs have lost the first quarter in three of their last four Week 5 games in which they were favored at home in the markets.
For a corresponding counter-bet on “the Saints winning the first quarter,” the bookies also offer a lucrative average rate of 2.52.
So if you are looking for bold value bets, the Chiefs Saints odds of these scenarios offer you great opportunities. Especially since the Chiefs have already overslept the start of a game several times this season.
Conclusion: My Chiefs Saints prediction suggests that New Orleans is underrated in the betting markets – the odds do not reflect the true strength of this team.
With their solid defense and a strong Alvin Kamara, the Saints have the potential to seriously endanger KC.
The Chiefs, on the other hand, are favored as the defending champions, but it should not be forgotten that they have come close to defeat several times this season.
With the Saints at +5.5 handicap, I think this bet is an excellent option. New Orleans has the potential to dictate the action, especially in the first half.
