1. FC Cologne has extended the contract with Jonathan Friemel (18) on a long-term basis. The current U-19 captain has been a member of the FC academy since the U10s and became German champion last season as a regular player in the younger U-19 age group. According to technical director Lukas Berg, there were “many interested parties” for the left-back with the pronounced set-piece strength.
