Czech Republic U21 – Germany U21 Tip, Prediction & Odds 15.06.2025

U21 EM Matchday 2, Sunday, 15.06.2025 at 21:00

Antonio Di Salvo has made a successful start to the U21 European Championship with the German national team. The DFB youngsters won their opening match against Slovenia 3-0.

In my Czech Republic U21 vs. Germany U21 prediction, I expect another victory of this magnitude. At Interwetten, I’m taking odds of 2.15 and betting on “Germany to win with a handicap of -1.”

Together with England, the German U21 team is among the tournament favorites. The two nations will face each other on the last matchday of Group B.

Before that, however, the Three Lions and the German youngsters will first swap opponents. If everything goes according to plan, both teams will already be qualified for the knockout stages before they face each other.

Representing the betting market, I’m taking the odds from the Bet365 app to give you a first impression. Germany (1.39) is considered significantly stronger than the Czech Republic (6.50).

Don’t be blinded by the last result between these two youth teams. The Czech Republic beat Germany 2-1 at the 2023 European Championships.

At the time, it fit the picture that the DFB youth team had left behind at the European Championship finals. Since then, however, the omens have changed.

Germany is unbeaten in 16 international matches. Among other things, the Spanish youth team was impressively defeated 3-1 in the run-up to the European Championship finals.

Di Salvo benefits from an experienced squad and many players who performed at the highest level last season.

The big star is Nick Woltemade. The DFB Cup winner recently scored a hat trick in two consecutive U21 international matches!

He is in great form and showed no signs of fatigue in the first group game. “Woltemade to score” is definitely worth considering for a sports betting bonus.

In addition, I can imagine another three goals from the German U21 national team. The DFB youth team has scored “over 2.5 goals” in four of its last six international matches. Betano is currently offering odds of 2.55 for this.

Di Salvo’s team once again showed great enthusiasm on the first matchday against Slovenia (3-0) and racked up 2.1 xG worth of scoring chances.

No other team has had more shots on goal than the DFB youth team (8.0). In addition, no team has won the ball more often in the final third (8.0).

The team needs to be courageous and ambitious in its quest to move forward as quickly as possible. Di Salvo has the right players at his disposal to do so.

His counterpart, Jan Suchoparek, can only dream of that. Transfermarkt.de values the Czech U21 national team at €34.70 million. Germany is far ahead (€257 million).

In between, however, Suchoparek’s team has conjured up a surprise or two, for example fighting to a 2-2 draw against Spain.

However, the last two performances were more reflective of reality. The Czech Republic didn’t stand a chance against Norway (0-2) and, most recently, England (1-3).

The German U21 team is brimming with confidence and has received an additional boost after its 16th international match without defeat.

Nick Woltemade could be aiming for the top scorer title at this U21 European Championship after his hat trick on the first matchday. To do so, however, he would need to score more goals against the Czech Republic.

I’m giving him credit for that in my Czech Republic U21 vs. Germany U21 prediction and betting on a Germany win with a -1 handicap.

My prediction: Germany win with a -1 handicap.
