Empoli – AC Milan betting tip, prediction & odds 08/02/2025

Serie A, Saturday, 08/02/2025 at 6:00 PM

The competition is fighting for the title while you are sinking into the middle of the pack? That is not the claim of the great AC Milan! The Rossoneri must finally wake up from their hibernation, otherwise the international places will soon be awarded elsewhere.

Surprisingly, the current Serie A championship bets have not yet been completely written off, so nothing should go wrong on Saturday.

Since the opponent is in dire relegation trouble and seems to be overwhelmed defensively, I am now taking an offensive approach with my Empoli AC Milan tip and saying: the 2.5 goals will be cracked!

20-point gap to the top? Milan obviously needs one of those football miracles to still have a say in the championship! The title odds of 13.0 that I found at our bookmakers are really quite humane.

Miracles, titles, odds? All good keywords for the Super Bowl, which is finally taking place on Sunday night! So the days are numbered, I recommend you take a quick look at the Wettfreunde analyses.

Will the Milan stars be sitting in front of the TV keeping their fingers crossed? It’s quite possible, and after a clear win against Empoli, they would have earned a relaxing evening.

The fans are probably still not quite over the derby that took place a few days ago. The Red and Blacks were on the verge of beating their archrivals, but when the 93rd minute came around, it was over. 1:1 – what a disappointment!

Unfortunately, Milan only win very sporadically. Four wins in the last twelve rounds make it clear why they are currently only in a mid-table position. 3:2 against Parma, 2:1 against Como, 1:0 against Hellas Verona?

The last three victories were also very close, although the opponents were all fighting against relegation. Once Milan scored twice in stoppage time, twice they came from behind to win – they are keeping it pretty exciting!

The team went into half-time with a draw eight times in a row, only against Inter did they take the lead again. So I can well imagine a draw after 45 minutes on Saturday.

I recommend registering with Betano for this, after which Tip X will get you odds of 2.15. Away from home, there were three 0-0 halves last time out. So you can go one better and say: no goals for now, with odds of 2.75!

In six of ten away games, the Rossoneri have conceded at least two goals, and their goal difference is even negative at 14:15. It’s good that I can find facts in the history books that will give fans some encouragement at the weekend.

Since 2007, they have only lost once to Empoli, and they have not lost an away game since 1986! 3-0, 3-1, 4-2, 1-1, 4-1, 2-2, 2-2, 3-1? The last few games at Empoli have seen some spectacular results.

Although Milan are not really in good form, they are still easily enough to start the direct duel as favorites in the crisis of Empolis. Or in numbers: an away win brings a rate of 1.70, while the home side, on the other hand, have to settle for a 5.10.

No question about it, with two wins from their last 18 rounds, this is absolutely not surprising. Six of their last eight games have been lost. It’s hard to believe that the Blues started the season with four draws and two wins, conceding just two goals!

Meanwhile, Empoli have conceded 33 goals, with six games since the end of October seeing them concede at least three. 17:21 away, 5:12 at home? Oha, that’s a huge difference!

So on average 3.2 goals are scored away from home, while at home it’s a measly 1.5. However, this average is (still) so low because the first four home games of this season had just one goal.

1:1 against Bologna, 1:3 against Lecce and 1:2 against Genoa – there is now more going on in Empoli. Eight of the first nine home games always went into half-time with a 0:0, but the last two games suddenly had two goals each.

And at least: the recent performances did not yield many points, but at the same time it was the first time that Empoli was able to score in three consecutive home games – something, at least!

Regardless of the venue, the Blues have only missed scoring twice in the last 13 rounds. With six goals from his last nine games, Sebastiano Esposito is particularly worthy of note.

Somehow both are in crisis, but in very different ways! Milan have lost touch with the top, sometimes it’s the offense that’s on strike, sometimes it’s the defense. Away from home, they only win against teams fighting against relegation, I’ll leave the derbies out of it for now.

Well, Empoli fits perfectly into this category. The Blues have only won twice in the last 18 rounds and are actually one of the weakest teams offensively. But: now, especially in home games, something more is happening.

My tip may be a bit riskier, since Empoli is not exactly known for its entertainment value. But with the number of goals they’ve conceded recently and Milan’s defense not exactly sparkling away from home either, I say:

We see more than 2.5 goals!
