Conference League League Phase, Matchday 1, Thursday, 03.10.2024 at 21:00
In my FC Copenhagen Jagiellonia betting tip, I’m looking ahead to a duel worthy of betting on Thursday, in which the Poles will celebrate their European Cup debut.
The internationally inexperienced players of the visiting team will be passive at the start. This will give the Danes the opportunity to score an early 1:0. Only then could the Eastern Europeans have overcome their stage fright and possibly find their way back into the game…
Let’s start my brief analysis of the best soccer bets for this match with the Danes, who have now made a name for themselves as regular participants in the European arena.
The “Viking Club” have impressed in the second half of September, winning all of their last three competitive matches against Danish teams. This shows that they are ready to make a splash internationally again.
Meanwhile, FC Copenhagen will take confidence from the fact that they have not suffered a single defeat in qualifying for the Europa Conference League. With four wins and two draws, they have almost always come out on top.
That’s quite a statement to the competition in the UECL, isn’t it? So the Danes go into the game full of confidence and their focus is clearly on a win against the visiting team, who are still inexperienced on the European stage.
On the other side, we have Jagiellonia, who are now a big name in the Polish Ekstraklasa and want to play for the title again this season. However, they still have a lot of international ground to make up.
They have lost their last four European Cup games in the summer against strong opponents such as Ajax and Bodö/Glimt, which resulted in them being relegated from UCL qualification to the Conference League during this period.
However, it could turn out that even the pace in the Conference League is also too fast for Jagiellonia. After all, they have only been competing with the big European teams for a few years now.
That’s another hurdle for the Poles, who I expect to start passively in the face of their big-name opponents. Stage fright therefore seems to be inevitable.
The “Bialostoczanie” certainly have potential, but they will need to keep their nerves under control if they are not to let them get the better of them early on.
While Jagiellonia could pay a price on Thursday, FC Copenhagen, on the other hand, can look back on a long history in European competitions.
In fact, the Danes have even made it through to the next round four times in their last six appearances in the group stage of a major European competition.
Last season, they were up against the likes of FC Bayern and Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League, underlining their high level of play. Especially since they made it to the round of 16.
One thing is clear: FC Copenhagen will go into the match as favorites, especially due to their convincing form and home strength.
However, the first meeting between a Danish and a Polish team in a major European competition since 2015/2016 could prove to be an instructive experience for Jagiellonia.
With their first appearance in a major European competition, the pressure on the “Bialostoczanie” will be enormous, but perhaps they can still spring a small surprise.
By the way: I can only recommend the Intertops free bet for the match between FC Copenhagen and Jagiellonia! Take the opportunity to bet on your favorite without risk.

With the Betano app in my hand, I thought long and hard about which FC Copenhagen Jagiellonia tip I should ultimately select.
I think a win for the Danes is the most realistic, but if so, it will be a narrow 1:0 or 2:0 victory.
Is it really worth taking Copenhagen odds of just 1.60? For me personally, the risk-reward ratio just isn’t quite right. Maybe we can expand on that a bit.
On the other hand, I find the selection that FC Copenhagen will win and score over 1.5 goals much more interesting.
I like this alternative much more than a home win bet for two reasons.
Firstly, the odds are not wrong with an average of 1.72 odds boost and secondly, I rate the chance that the Danes will start like a fire engine at home as higher than the other way around.
Conclusion: Copenhagen start this game with the greater self-confidence. This should lead to them seizing the initiative and sooner or later scoring at least 1:0.
Whether they will then hold on to this lead against a technically inferior opponent with little international experience is perhaps a little risky for some and they may well concede another goal. In the end, however, Copenhagen should still win. Only last season, the Lions defeated Manchester United and Galatasaray at home, which is why the FC Copenhagen Jagiellonia odds on a win with over 1.5 goals would bring a solid profit.
My tip: Win Copenhagen & Over 1.5 goals
