Relegation-threatened third-division side Alemannia Aachen have struck for the first time in the winter transfer window: Petros Bagalianis is moving from Greek top-flight club AE Larisa to the Black and Yellows. For the central defender, who has also played for Olympiacos Piraeus and Polish first division club Stal Mielec, it is the first stop in Germany. “With his robust style of play and his two-footedness, he brings qualities that will be useful to us in defence,” said TSV managing director Rachid Azzouzi. The Aachen team can urgently use the qualities: With 34 goals conceded, they have the fourth-weakest defence in the 3rd division.
