Following their forced relegation to the French fourth division, Girondins Bordeaux have made some high-profile signings. Former England international Andy Carroll, for whom Liverpool FC once put 40 million euros on the table, is now on the books of the six-time French champions. The 35-year-old striker joins from second division side Amiens and signed a contract until 2026 on Wednesday.
