Eintracht Frankfurt – Bayer Leverkusen betting tip
Leverkusen already clinched the league title three rounds ago. And on May 25 in the DFB Cup final against relegation-threatened second-division club 1. FC Kaiserslautern, Bayer is the heavy favorite.
But it seems that the Werkself already have a date three days beforehand. After Thursday’s 2:0 victory in the semi-final first leg at AS Roma, B04 already has one foot in the Europa League final.

The new German champions visit Frankfurt Eintracht on Sunday. Leverkusen have not felt particularly comfortable with the Hessians in recent years.
The Werkself could actually give up on the league finale and concentrate on the two other competitions. But the unbeaten run in the league is Bayer’s incentive.

At the end of last season, Frankfurt and Leverkusen were level on points in the table. This season, the balance of power has clearly shifted in favor of the Werkself.
B04 currently has a whopping 36-point lead over SGE. Although Bayer’s championship title has already been decided, the visitors remain the favorites in the Frankfurt Leverkusen prediction.
Coach Xabi Alonso’s men have the edge with the best odds providers with an odds average of 2.22. You can get odds of between 3.00 and 3.25 for a win for the home side.

Analysis: Frankfurt vs Leverkusen
Eintracht are not necessarily playing an outstanding season. They owe their good starting position more to the weak results of their rivals. Since the introduction of the three-point rule, a seventh-placed team has never had just 40 points after 31 match days.
However, Frankfurt can still hope for the Champions League in the final spurt, namely if BVB win the Henkelpott this season and end up in fifth place.
If this does not happen, the Hessians currently have the best chance of reaching the Europa League. After all, SGE is five points ahead of SC Freiburg in 7th place.
However, with just one win from the last six games, coach Dino Toppmöller’s team is trying to somehow finish the season in administration mode
The Adler also played with little conviction last weekend at Bayern and conceded a deserved 2:1 defeat after an offensively weak performance.
SGE have only taken 349 shots this season (11.3 per game), the lowest figure in the league. They lost five of their eight matches against the top five teams in the league (2S, 1U).
Coach Toppmöller is therefore not necessarily sitting firmly in the saddle. However, the home record is impressive. Frankfurt have only lost one of their last 25 Bundesliga home games (13S, 11U).
Since then, Eintracht have remained unbeaten in their last nine home games. Only the injured Rode and Kalajdzic will be missing against Bayer
Quota analysis
The spectators at Deutsche Bank Park on Sunday can be happy. In the history of the Bundesliga, there has been no other duel so often (77 times) without a game ending in a goalless draw.
The bookmakers are even predicting more than 2.5 goals in the Frankfurt Leverkusen preview with average odds of 1.72. Betway only has the best odds of 1.60 for the bet “Both teams to score”.

Leverkusen are extending their record from game to game. Bayer have set a new record in the league with the first 31 games of a Bundesliga season.
There have only ever been two longer streaks (36 and 53 games) across all seasons. However, B04 can no longer set a new points record. Bayern’s 91 points from the 2012/13 season remain unmatched.
In addition, only Munich (84) had more points after 31 games in the 2012/13 season than the Werkself this season (81). However, coach Xabi Alonso’s squad are playing with fire in the league.
Against both Dortmund (90.+8) and Stuttgart (90.+7), the equalizer came late in stoppage time. Bayer 04 have scored 16 times in the 90th minute or later in all competitions this season
Will it work without Alonso on the bench?
From the 86th minute onwards, 21 goals are scored. The team remained calm until the final whistle, confidently sticking to their game plan and always believing they had a chance.
Bayer have already picked up nine points in the league thanks to the eight goals scored from the 90th minute onwards. That is a new BL record. B04 are also the only BL team in 2023/24 not to concede a goal after the 90th minute.
Alex Grimaldo is also extremely strong, with 13 assists this season in the top flight. That is a new club record since detailed data recording began in 2004/05.
Coach Alonso will not be able to coach the team from the bench on Sunday due to his fourth yellow card. The starting eleven will certainly be thoroughly rotated after the match in Rome
After 79 matches, Bayer lead the comparison against Eintracht with 38 wins to 28 defeats. When visiting Frankfurt, however, Leverkusen’s record is negative.

Of course, Frankfurt will be hoping that they can inflict their first defeat of the season on the newly crowned German champions. Especially as the game takes place between the two EL semi-finals against AS Roma.
Moreover, the direct comparison gives the Hessians hope. However, the last few matchdays have shown that Bayer are not letting up in the league either and are not giving anything away.
Even against the top teams BVB and VfB, the unbeaten streak was extended. If you look at the form of SGE in recent weeks and the energy of the Werkself these days, I can’t bet on a home win.
However, as B04 have often settled for a draw recently, I have to back my tip with the “double chance”. A few goals are also likely to be scored.
