Getafe – Real Madrid Tip, Prediction & Odds 23.04.2025

La Liga, Matchday 33 on Wednesday, 23.04.2025 at 21:30

Will Real Madrid end the 2024/25 season without a single title? The Royal Blues are facing a total fiasco and must close the gap on FC Barcelona. They cannot afford to slip up in the small derby against Getafe.

After some recent bumpy performances, a victory is by no means a foregone conclusion. In my Getafe Real Madrid prediction, I’ll tell you why, despite some minor doubts, I think the favorites will come out on top in the end.

Two defeats against Arsenal FC – Real Madrid fans couldn’t have expected such a clear exit from the Champions League. The eternal triumphant of the premier class must now concentrate on the championship.

They need to make up four points on FC Barcelona. This deficit could have been even greater, as the winning goal in the recent 1-0 win against Bilbao came in stoppage time. Kylian Mbappe was shown a red card in that victory.

The Frenchman will therefore miss Wednesday’s game against Getafe. Interestingly, Mbappe has only missed two games this season due to injury. Both were draws, 1-1 against Atletico and 3-3 against Rayo Vallecano.

A draw in the upcoming match would bring odds of 3.60. At least Real have now kept two clean sheets in a row, something they haven’t done since the end of October/beginning of November.

The run of five goals conceded in the first half has also been stopped. What hasn’t worked at all this season is three away wins in a row. This is worth mentioning because Real have won their last two away games.

What I definitely think is worth mentioning: the Royals haven’t scored in the second half in five away games. So you can safely bet that Real won’t score after the break on Wednesday either.

The odds at Bet365 are 2.40. On top of that, you can bet on the bonus at Bet365, which offers you up to $100 in betting credits. After all, Real fans know that nothing can really go wrong against Getafe.

Only one of the last 22 games has been lost, with an impressive 19 wins during that period. Eleven clean sheets in the last 13 derbies and only two goals conceded is a really strong defensive record.

A win for the favorites without conceding a goal is priced at 3.00 at Bet-at-home. Speaking of odds, how clear is the visitors’ role as favorites, given that they don’t have far to travel?

With odds of 1.80 to 4.50, the visitors go into the game as favorites, so the three points are unlikely to be a foregone conclusion. Getafe can go into the game relatively relaxed, currently eight points clear of the relegation zone.

The Azulones stood out in the first eleven rounds with seven draws, but have only managed two more draws since then. With 31 goals, their offense is one of the weakest in the league.

However, conceding only 29 goals is anything but bad! Only Bilbao and Atletico Madrid have slightly better statistics. They have conceded three goals in a single game only once this season, but that was in their most recent home game against relegation candidates Las Palmas.

Three of their last four home games have been lost, with a curious 2-1 defeat against Atletico Madrid in between. Are the days of low-scoring home games over and is Getafe ushering in a new era?

1-2 against Betis Sevilla, 2-1 against Atletico, 1-2 against Villarreal and 1-3 against Las Palmas – there has certainly been a lot to see recently. Getafe also failed to score at home in two consecutive games for the first time ever, so their form is clearly on the decline.

Real Madrid must not lose sight of FC Barcelona. They still have four points to make up, but a season without a title is not impossible in 2024/25. The last few weeks have been anything but convincing.

At least Getafe are a favorite opponent who haven’t conceded many goals to Los Blancos in recent years. So can the Madrid side get into a winning streak to finish the season on a high?

Since the Azulones are not delivering strong home results at the moment and simply can’t seem to get a foothold against Real, I have decided to place a win bet and predict:

Real will win against Getafe!
