Gladbach – Frankfurt Tip, AI Prediction & Odds 09/27/2025

Gladbach – Frankfurt Prediction Bundesliga, Matchday 5 on Saturday, 09/27/2025 at 6:30 p.m.

On the 5th matchday of the Bundesliga, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Eintracht Frankfurt will face off in a duel that is anything but ordinary. Both teams are under considerable pressure, each in their own way. SGE does not want to lose touch with the top of the table, while BMG is looking for its first win of the season.

In my Gladbach Frankfurt prediction, however, I’m siding with the Hessians. With the prediction “Frankfurt win & both teams to score” at odds of around 3.40 at NEO.bet, I’m deliberately sticking my neck out a little.

The fact that Frankfurt have lost their last two Bundesliga games does, however, speak in favor of my bet to a certain extent. After all, it’s safe to assume that SGE will do everything in their power to nip a losing streak in the bud. They certainly have the potential to do so.

Gladbach managed to score their first goal of the season in their 1-1 draw with Leverkusen on the last matchday. Accordingly, I believe Borussia will score exactly one goal in their home game against Frankfurt.

Gladbach – Frankfurt Prediction & Bets

If you don’t trust Gladbach’s offense (only one goal this season), you can simply break down my combination bet and go for a Frankfurt win. The odds for this at Winamax Sports Betting are already climbing to a lucrative 2.30.

Another alternative tip I have in mind is the “draw at halftime” bet (odds of 2.30). After their recent setbacks, Eintracht are likely to play relatively cautiously, especially at the start of the game. A 1-1 score at halftime would be a good outcome.

Another interesting consideration is “BMG under 1.5 goals” at strong odds of around 1.70. After all, Borussia has only scored one goal so far. In short: I don’t think this problem child is capable of scoring more than one goal.

What you need to consider when betting on Gladbach vs. Frankfurt

  • Gladbach has scored only one goal in four league games this season. However, in the 2024/25 season, they failed to score in only three of their 17 home games in the Bundesliga.
  • Frankfurt’s league games have seen 20 goals so far – eleven for Dino Toppmöller’s team and nine for their opponents. Only Bayern games (21) have seen more goals.
  • Both teams have scored in Frankfurt’s last seven Bundesliga games, with an average of 4.29 goals per game. This selection has also been successful in eight of the last ten direct duels between the two teams.
  • Can Uzun has scored four goals with an xG of 1.02 (+2.98). Only Harry Kane (+4.27) and Ilyas Ansah (+3.18) have exceeded their expected goals even more significantly.

Gladbach – Frankfurt: AI tip & odds analysis

Our AI model is of course on board again this time and presents its very own Gladbach Frankfurt AI prediction.

Right at the start, the digital brain offers the bet “Can Uzun scores” at odds of around 2.75. The statistical basis is, of course, impressive.

The Turkish player has already scored in the last three competitive games for SGE and is currently in the form of his life. A goal from Uzun against a struggling Gladbach side would therefore come as no surprise.

Since Frankfurt likes to play wildly and games like the 3:4 against Union or the 5:1 against Galatasaray are the order of the day, the AI also brings the bet “Over 3.0 goals (Asian)” into play – so if exactly three goals are scored, you get your stake back. The odds at Bwin Mobile for this are reasonable at around 1.70.

The AI also has a result bet up its sleeve. The 2:1 for Frankfurt fits perfectly with my own combination bet and brings it to a great odds of around 9.25. The catch with this selection: SGE has not finished a single game with this result this season – not even with a 1:2, for that matter.

The best odds for Gladbach vs. Frankfurt

Despite two consecutive defeats, Eintracht Frankfurt is the favorite going into the match against Borussia Mönchengladbach, with odds of 2.20 for the Hessians. Nevertheless, the recent setbacks have raised doubts about the Eagles’ form.

Dino Toppmöller’s team is likely to dictate the pace of the game, but their defensive vulnerability remains a serious problem: they have conceded nine goals so far. Nevertheless, there is a lot to be said for the visitors, as Gladbach are still searching for stable solutions even after Seoane’s dismissal.

The goal markets show a classic Bundesliga picture: The odds for “both teams to score” are very low, and the goal line is set high at 3.25. A bet on the over in the Asian goal market therefore seems interesting.

The internal prediction model sees the match as the highest-scoring game of the fifth matchday with a 66.2 percent probability, with both teams expected to score. In the Asian handicap, the line is set at -0.25 with balanced odds.

Since Gladbach has not been able to convert chances into goals so far, a handicap bet on Frankfurt could be worthwhile. The decisive factor will be whether the Foals can withstand the pressure – so far, they have rarely been able to do so.

Gladbach vs Frankfurt match analysis:

Encounters between these two teams are traditionally entertaining. They last met at Borussia-Park in February 2025, with the game ending in a 1-1 draw.

The goals were scored by Hugo Ekitike and Tim Kleindienst, but both players are missing this time: Ekitike moved to Liverpool FC in the summer, while Kleindienst is out with an injury.

In the past, the duel has produced numerous thrilling games, with the match in December 2021 particularly memorable, when Frankfurt won 3-2 away in an intense game.

This success marked a turning point – since then, Eintracht have been unbeaten in nine games against Gladbach. Previously, however, Gladbach had made a statement with a 4-0 win in April 2021, calling the balance of power into question.

Statistics also show interesting trends: in four of the last six encounters, both teams scored, which makes the “both teams to score” bet attractive.

At the same time, there were often fewer than 2.5 goals in the direct duels, which suggests close and tactical games. Frankfurt currently seems a little more solid, but home advantage could play into Gladbach’s hands.

Gladbach form check

Borussia Mönchengladbach is currently in a serious crisis. After four matchdays in the Bundesliga, they have only two points – the result of two draws and two defeats.

The offense has too often lacked ideas, failing to score in three of the first four games. The 4-0 home defeat to Werder Bremen was particularly sobering, putting unbearable pressure on coach Gerardo Seoane.

Those responsible reacted by appointing Eugen Polanski as interim coach. Under him, the team at least showed signs of fighting spirit and stability.

In the game against Bayer Leverkusen, they managed a late 1-1 draw, giving the fans hope for a turnaround.

Despite this small ray of hope, the situation remains critical: Gladbach urgently needs to start scoring regularly again and at the same time become more secure defensively in order to avoid slipping further down the table.

Frankfurt form check

Eintracht Frankfurt has shown two sides to its game so far this season. On the one hand, Dino Toppmöller’s team has impressed with its attacking power, as was evident in its recent 5-1 win over Galatasaray in the Champions League.

Players like Can Uzun repeatedly cause problems and create danger. On the other hand, Eintracht still has too many weaknesses in defense in the Bundesliga.

The 3-4 defeat to Union Berlin and the 1-3 loss at Bayer Leverkusen highlight the team’s vulnerability to counterattacks and set pieces.

As a result, the team’s form fluctuates between inspiring offensive performances and unnecessary setbacks that cost valuable points in the league. On a positive note, the season has nevertheless gotten off to a successful start with victories against Hoffenheim and Mainz.

The decisive factor for the coming weeks will be whether the Hessians can find their balance—only then will they be able to prove their ambitions in both the Bundesliga and internationally in the long term.
