Boris Tomiak is leaving 1. FC Kaiserslautern half a year before the end of his contract and is joining league rivals Hannover 96. The 26-year-old central defender, who has 78 second division matches (eleven goals) under his belt, has signed a contract with the Lower Saxony club until the summer of 2028. “We have had Boris on our radar for quite some time and had already reached an agreement with him about a transfer in the summer after his contract ends,” said 96 sporting director Marcus Mann. “Now a good solution has emerged in the talks with FCK, so we can get him now and integrate him into our squad.”
