The Brazilian Oscar has declared his active career over. The 34-year-old agreed with his club FC Sao Paulo to terminate his contract, which is valid until the end of 2027, prematurely. Most recently, there were reports that Oscar had collapsed in training with Sao Paulo and that he was suffering from heart problems. The midfielder was considered one of the greatest attacking talents in the early 2010s, won several titles at Chelsea FC and was part of the Brazilian national team at the 2014 World Cup. After Chelsea, he spent many years at Shanghai Port before returning home to Brazil at the beginning of 2025.
