With Dieter Hecking, VfL Bochum has chosen a top candidate to succeed Zeidler. The 60-year-old, most recently sporting director at 1. FC Nürnberg, is to play the role of the fireman after a disastrous start (only one point from nine Bundesliga games). VfL is already in concrete talks with Hecking.
