Bundesliga 6th matchday, Saturday, 06.10.2024 at 3:30 pm
In the Conference League, the very young Paul Wanner took responsibility during the week in the Brenzstadters when it came to hitting the foul penalty in the final minutes of the game against Ljubljana to make it 2-1.
But now they face a much tougher opponent in the Bundesliga. The “Red Bulls” will surely ask themselves how they lost the game against Juventus Turin in the premier league!
Let’s forget about it: For me, only the 6th Bundesliga match day and the Heidenheim RB Leipzig tip will count on Saturday.
1. FCH is facing a real challenge, and a look at the statistics shows why. In the Bundesliga, 2nd division and 3rd division, Heidenheim has only won one of eight games against RB Leipzig.
That one win in the second division, a 1-0, was a good nine years ago. In none of their previous duels did the red-and-blue manage to score more than one goal against the Saxons.
And indeed, my Heidenheim RB Leipzig prediction is strongly based on the two results from the previous season, which saw the red-and-blue claim a European Cup spot despite two 1-2 defeats against RBL.
The betting providers’ forecast?
The Heidenheim RB Leipzig odds, which have been updated again after the respective European Cup appearances, clearly show that RBL is the clear favorite in the game against the team from Brenzstadt.
With an average odds of 1.68 for an away win for Leipzig, the betting providers are firmly counting on a win for the guests.
A draw, on the other hand, is valued at 4.10, while a home win for Heidenheim is valued at 4.70, which would be the biggest upset. These figures reflect Leipzig’s dominance and underline the fact that the Red and Blues have a tough task ahead of them.
KI prediction Heidenheim vs RB Leipzig: That’s what ChatGPT predicts
The Heidenheim RB Leipzig AI prediction that Red-Blue will win the game is, as indicated by ChatGPT, quite risky. I would really turn on the warning lights here and give it a “very unlikely” rating.
Leipzig is simply the stronger team, and even a great home win rate of around 4.70 is not enough for me to doubt RBL so much …
The second tip, that RBL wins with -1 Asian Handicap, on the other hand, is medium risk according to the chat program. But I’m more likely to expect a narrow victory, maybe a 2-1?
That makes this Heidenheim RB Leipzig tip for me at odds of about 1.83 therefore not really attractive, because it does not quite meet my personal expectations.
The supposedly safe tip with over 2.5 goals in the game should ultimately have a low risk according to the AI, but I also find the odds here far too low for what I would call a “safe tip”.
This mark could actually be narrowly cracked, but the odds just don’t make a corresponding football bet worthwhile.
Analysis: Heidenheim vs RB Leipzig
Heidenheim has every reason to be optimistic about the upcoming game. FCH celebrated their third win of the Bundesliga season with a 2-0 victory over Mainz on matchday 5.
This is a significant improvement on last season, when they only managed their third win on matchday 10.
With nine points from the first five games, Heidenheim is also five points better than at the same time last year, which underlines the positive development of the team.
RBL, meanwhile, after a furious 4-0 win over Augsburg last weekend, lost a game in the premier league that they should never have given away.
Of course, I am referring to the 2-3 defeat against Juventus Turin, which was all the more bitter because the Italians scored two goals while playing with ten men…
Now, after just two match days, the Saxons are still without points in the Champions League and must now close ranks to avoid an early exit in the group stage.
Odds Analysis
The current odds for the clash between Heidenheim and RB Leipzig, which I have already touched on, suggest that the bookmakers are expecting a goal-filled encounter.
This could be a great opportunity for us to get some decent value with a counter bet! Because it is precisely on this point that I think the betting providers are making a mistake.
On the other hand, RB Leipzig’s role as favorites is justified, but you certainly won’t be able to wring much value from an away win quote of around 1.68.
Instead, I would recommend you place a goal bet on Benjamin Sesko. The young striker has the potential to score in the game, and the odds of around 2.18 are more than fair.
This way, you can benefit from his outstanding form without necessarily having to rely on a high number of goals.
Heidenheim vs. RB Leipzig Odds: RBL is consistent!
Of course, the defeat against Juventus has left its mark, but RB Leipzig remains a clinical team that can continue to be trusted.
The Saxons are undefeated in 16 Bundesliga games (10 wins, 6 draws) – not only the longest current streak in the top flight, but also a new club record.
Leipzig have thus surpassed the record from the 2019 season under Ralf Rangnick. Furthermore, the Red Bulls were only unbeaten after six games in their debut season in 2016/17.
RBL could keep another clean sheet…
It will be difficult for 1. FC Heidenheim to score more than one goal against RB Leipzig. The Saxons are extremely stable defensively and, with only two goals conceded in five games, have the best defense in the current Bundesliga season.
This is also a new club record for Leipzig at this point in the season. Currently, the team from Leipzig has not conceded a goal in 315 minutes of play and could go four Bundesliga games without conceding a goal for the first time since December 2020/January 2021.
Another reason why the Saxons could keep a clean sheet is their outstanding goalkeeper, who can regularly defuse even high-caliber shots.
Péter Gulácsi, Leipzig’s goalkeeper, has saved an impressive 90% of shots on his goal this Bundesliga season, securing him the league’s top spot.
He recently showed his skill by saving a penalty kick against Augsburg – a feat not seen in the Bundesliga since February 2017.
Of the 22 penalties taken against him, 20 had previously found their way into the goal, while two had hit the aluminum.
Gulácsi is currently a real support for the team and could play a decisive role in ensuring that RB Leipzig remain stable defensively.
Even though I expect few goals, after Champions League Wednesday I can’t help but bet on Benjamin Sesko.
The Leipzig striker was directly involved in three goals for the first time in his 36th Bundesliga game against Augsburg, scoring two goals and providing an assist.
What’s more, the Slovenian has scored an impressive nine goals in 12 league games since the beginning of April. Only Hoffenheim’s Andrej Kramarić (11) and Bayern’s Harry Kane (10) have scored more goals in that period.
His form speaks for itself and makes him a dangerous factor for FCH.
My Heidenheim RB Leipzig Tip:
A strong performance from RB Leipzig is to be expected. The disappointment over the recent defeat is great, but this team has the stability and character to recover from such a setback.
A decisive factor in this is Benjamin Šeško in the forward line. The young attacker is able to score consistently on both good and not-so-good days.
His goal-scoring prowess could be crucial to Leipzig not only remaining stable defensively, but also causing a stir offensively.
My bet: Bet 2 & under 3.5 goals
