Joseph Charles Richardson II is back in the Regionalliga Nordost after a year at SV Sandhausen. The former Greifswald player is joining Hallescher FC on loan. HFC has also secured a purchase option. The 22-year-old midfielder only made four appearances in the third division at Sandhausen last season. Halle’s sporting director Daniel Meyer explained in a press release: “Joe-Joe brings the goal threat and coolness that we were looking for in attacking midfield.” The regional league club plans to use the new signing either in the aforementioned attacking midfield or as a second striker and describes Richardson II as “bringing a combination of technique and goal threat to the pitch with his athleticism and two-footedness.”
