There are few things that have inspired me as much in 2025/26 as the outstanding performances of the Norwegians. But can they now save a 3-1 lead over time in the dreaded San Siro, of all places?

1st goal: Inter Milan (1st half) sounds like a value bet to my ears, even at values around 1.52. The Italians cannot hope for the second half alone and leave it 0-0 until then. Rather, I expect pressure from the first minute.
Inter wins both halves at odds of around 2.30, so it also sounds like a reasonable choice. Especially since the Milanese have to proceed in exactly the same way and both halves of the game are best won 1-0 or even 2-0.
If this fails, the pressure would suddenly increase massively in the event of a clean sheet at half-time. Consequently, I rather expect Nerazzurri to be aware of this and therefore unlikely to fall into passivity after kick-off …

The Norwegians’ fairytale journey sweeps away fans of the round leather all over Europe, but the bookmakers remain skeptical: Despite the spectacular performances, they hardly trust the guests at the San Siro to do anything.
A home win of Inter Milan is 1.24. The markets rely on experience, tactical cleverness and the individual class of the Italians, who are considered superior even against surprisingly strong opponents.
The draw is at Inter Milan Bodö/Glimt odds of around 6.90. Such an outcome only seems plausible if the visiting team defends exceptionally consistently and Inter acts imprecisely – a scenario that the bookmakers see as unlikely.
An away win for the underdog, on the other hand, ranks at 11.50. Despite the previous sensations, the Norwegians are therefore only given a minimal chance on the markets to win the second leg.
Inter Milan vs Bodo/Glimt Match Analysis:
As expected, Inter Milan should be in forward gear from the start, while the Norwegians of Bodö/Glimt will be deep behind. Inter is under pressure and will therefore do everything they can to turn the game around.
The numbers speak for themselves: On average, they put 18.53 shots on goal per home game, and in this match there should even be a few more headers and shots than usual!
Long phases of the game will therefore resemble a clear duel “attack against defense”, in which the host controls the ball, occupies spaces and consistently exerts pressure on the opponent’s defense.
The Norwegian visiting team, on the other hand, will try to control the tempo early on by standing deep and condensing the spaces, but that will only stop the Milanese in the short term.
Despite Inter’s dominant style of play, the Norwegians should not be underestimated: their strength lies in the counterattacks. In the 2-1 away defeat against Atletico Madrid, they had already created five high-quality chances despite having 35% possession.
So if Bodö/Glimt manage to switch quickly and find the spaces behind Inter’s strong midfield axis, then they could provide isolated danger. Nevertheless, everything points to Inter setting the tone, dictating the game and taking the initiative.
In the end, it should therefore come down to an intense race to catch up, in which Christian Chivu’s team will have the last word in my eyes …
Inter Milan Formcheck
Inter face a difficult task: To take the second leg against Bodö/Glimt at the San Siro into extra time, they need a win with at least a two-goal difference.
On Wednesday, the Nerazzurri lost 3-1 in Norway, their fourth defeat in their last five Champions League appearances – the same number as in the previous 27 games combined.
The defence remains particularly worrying: this season they have only managed to keep three clean sheets in nine Champions League games and are now only the second team in the history of the Champions League to concede at least three goals in four knockout rounds in a row!
Nevertheless, the recent 2-0 win over Lecce in Serie A makes me confident that the race to catch up in the rematch will work out after all!
In addition to the deficit, the injury list is another problem for Inter. Lautaro Martinez, their best striker, is expected to be out until mid-March and will miss the second leg. Denzel Dumfries has resumed training, but is not yet ready for action.
Piotr Zielinski is doubtful for the game, but could be fit in time. Davide Frattesi, on the other hand, was absent from the first leg due to illness, but should be available for the second leg, which could be decisive for the midfield rotation.
Bodö/Glimt Form Check
The Norwegians continued their impressive run in the first leg and celebrated their third consecutive victory in the Champions League a week ago. This is pure madness!
As debutants in the Champions League, they have previously defeated Manchester City and Atletico Madrid, giving them an impressive aggregate record of 8-3 against these top clubs in their last three games.
The Norwegians can now dream of historic qualification in the second leg at San Siro, having become only the second Norwegian team to defeat an Italian club in Europe’s most important cup competition last week.
Coach Kjetil Knutsen has all players available for the second leg, which gives Bodö/Glimt a small advantage.
With a 3-1 lead from the first leg and full manpower, the team starts the game confidently, can rely on fast counterattacks and stable defense and tries to make the sensation in Milan perfect.
The combination of defensive stability, fast transition play and strong team chemistry could indeed pose major problems for the Italians again, but probably only in phases …
