Mandy Islacker had already announced the end of her career in May 2023, but then continued in the amateur sector. After stints in the fourth division at VfB Stuttgart and FC Schalke 04, the now 37-year-old striker is now expecting her first child and is therefore hanging up her boots for good. The 25-time international, who won Olympic gold with the German team in 2016, made 282 Bundesliga appearances and scored 146 goals.
