Prediction: Who will win Jake Paul vs. Julio Chavez?
Jake Paul has a big goal: to become boxing world champion! The 28-year-old American, who started his boxing career five years ago, wants to take the next step towards this goal this weekend with a victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
The 39-year-old Mexican has a total of 62 professional fights under his belt, winning 54 of them – and several international titles!
However, based on the betting odds, the prediction for the Jake Paul vs. Julio Chavez boxing match seems clear: the social media star will enter the ring as the clear favorite.
Julio Cesar Chavez won the WBC middleweight title in 2011. After three successful title defenses, his reign ended in September 2012 against Sergio Martinez with the first defeat of his professional career.
Chavez then fought 13 more professional fights, winning only eight. He faced both renowned boxers in the ring – such as Mexican boxing icon Canelo Alvarez in May 2017 (points defeat) – and former MMA fighters.
Chavez boxed against Anderson Silva, among others, losing on points. Jake Paul then defeated the same Anderson Silva in October 2022.
Chavez fought his last fight to date against Uriah Hall, also a former cage fighter. He was only able to defeat him on points after six rounds.
Head-to-Head & Record
While the experience gained in 64 professional fights since 2003 clearly speaks in favor of the highly decorated boxing veteran from Mexico, Jake Paul has other advantages. He is in top shape, has two centimeters more reach than his upcoming opponent, and has already demonstrated his ever-improving punching skills on several occasions.
His record after five years is also very strong: Jake Paul has fought 12 boxing matches so far. His record: 11 wins, one loss.
He last won on points against Mike Tyson in November last year. Before that, “The Problem Child” knocked out three discarded ex-boxers – Mike Perry, Ryan Bourland, and Andre August.
However, he has also lost one fight in his still young boxing career: against professional boxer Tommy Fury…
Fight Card & Preliminaries
There are five preliminary fights on the fight card before the Jake Paul vs. Julio Chavez boxing match.

In addition, former MMA fighter Holly Holm will be stepping into the ring. She will be facing Yolanda Vega.
The undercard will be opened by Naomy Valle vs. Ashley Felix (junior flyweight). This will be followed by two welterweight bouts between Raul Curiel and Victor Ezequiel Rodriguez and Avious Griffin and Julian Rodriguez.
