After former coach Ruben Amorim was signed by Manchester United on Monday, Sporting Lisbon have now unveiled their new coach. Joao Pereira, who has coached the Portuguese capital club’s second team since 2021, will be on the sidelines in future. During his active career, the now 40-year-old coach played for six months at Hannover 96 (January to June 2015) and played five Bundesliga games for the club from Lower Saxony.
