Nail-biting finish? It looks like it! At least as far as Juventus are concerned in Serie A. The northern Italians are currently level on points with Lazio Rome in fourth place. They cannot afford to slip up now and must avoid doing so in their last home game.
In my Juventus vs. Udinese prediction, I expect the Bianconeri to win, albeit not by much. We shouldn’t see too many goals, which is why I’m adding “under 4.5 goals” for a more appealing odds at Oddset.
Competing for the Champions League with just 16 wins from 36 games? That’s possible in Serie A this season. Especially since Juventus has picked up many individual points with just as many draws and has conceded the fewest defeats alongside league leaders Napoli.
In fact, the Turin side have lost only four games, but at no point have they really been in the title race. Qualification for the Champions League would now be the best they can hope for. However, Lazio and AS Roma are lurking behind, and even Bologna need only one slip-up to overtake them.
A win against Udinese is a must, and at odds of 1.40, it is also considered very likely. The fifth defeat of the season is offered at odds of 8.00. Our PayPal betting providers rate the draw as at least somewhat more realistic: 4.50.
Turin has been strong at the Juventus Stadium recently, winning seven of its last eight games. Only Atalanta has managed to take three points away from Turin, making Bergamo the only team to have done so in this arena so far.
Udinese, meanwhile, are stuck in mid-table and will finish tenth, eleventh or twelfth. Things went downhill in the spring. Six unbeaten games were followed by five defeats in a row. They then managed to pick up a point in a 0-0 draw against Bologna.
The Friulani finally celebrated their first long-awaited victory in over two months against Cagliari (2-1). Recently, however, they suffered a surprise defeat against bottom-of-the-table Monza (1-2). The already relegated AC thus secured only their third victory.
That was the eighth of nine matches in which Udinese failed to keep a clean sheet. For the “Double Chance 1X” and at least one Juve goal, we are already getting 1.20 via the configurator, which is not exactly high, but suitable for a combination bet.
The record champions have only conceded more than one goal against Italian opponents at home against Atalanta (0-4) in 2025. I also find the even 2.00 for a Juve win to nil interesting.
We found these odds at Winamax, among others, where you can get up to $100 in free bets when you register. If you bet there frequently, you can also exchange loyalty points for additional free bets and cash credit. All odds there are also free of betting taxes.
Incidentally, my last Juventus bet was a direct hit. For the match against Monza, the last home game, I recommended the -1 handicap. Even an unfavorable red card in the first half couldn’t jeopardize our bet.
Due to the strong home defense and the fact that the visitors are not exactly known as an offensive powerhouse in the league, I am convinced that the home team will win with “under 4.5 goals.” Juve has had a maximum of four goals in 16 consecutive games.
Udinese fans have not seen five goals in their last 13 appearances. I would not recommend betting on both teams scoring in this match. In six consecutive games, only one team scored, and that was Juve, except for one occasion!
The statistics, on the other hand, support the opposite prediction that both teams will not score and that Juve will win without conceding a goal. However, after eight consecutive home wins, Juve lost their last home game (0-1).
In the first leg of this season, Juve had practically sealed the deal after scoring two goals in the first half. Like so many of the Old Lady’s opponents, Udinese remained below the expected goals mark of 1.00 after 90 minutes.
It could end the same way on Sunday. The visitors will be without their top striker Lorenzo Lucca. Arthur Atta is also suspended after picking up a yellow card. Juve, however, also have two players suspended.
In addition, there are several injuries in defense. Overall, though, the favorites have enough quality to compensate for these personnel gaps.
Conclusion: Udinese are not really dangerous up front and now their top striker is out too. It won’t be an easy Sunday evening for German head coach Kosta Runjaic, who is unlikely to benefit from the hosts’ depleted defense.
I expect Juve to put in a committed performance in the battle for the Champions League, with the Old Lady winning seven of their last eight home games. Their upcoming opponents have only managed to keep a clean sheet in their last nine games.
Juventus to win & under 4.5 goals.
