Rot-Weiss Essen has strengthened its right-back position by signing Michael Kostka from Polish club Miedz Liegnitz. The 21-year-old, who has spent most of his career in Germany, moved to Poland in 2022 and made 27 first-division and 58 second-division appearances for the second-division club over the past three seasons. Now he is returning to his home country.
