Latvia – England Tip World Cup Qualifier, Group K, Matchday 6, 10/14/2025 at 8:45 p.m.
Latvia is one of the weakest offensive teams in the competition and has only scored 3.9 expected goals (xG) so far. On average, the team only manages 2.2 shots on goal per game and has created a total of six big chances.
At the same time, three of England’s five World Cup qualifying games have ended with less than 2.5 goals. These are also the two main ingredients of my Latvia vs. England prediction, which I will put to the test at a verified betting provider.
Incidentally, given their hopeless position in the table, the Balts should not feel too motivated anyway, while Tuchel’s team will probably only want to do the bare minimum. Therefore, I am speculating on a very sluggish game with a lot of sideways passing!
Latvia vs. England AI predictions:
England to win & under 3.5 goals is a popular combination bet that promises odds in the Oddset app that will roughly double your stake!
Incidentally, this is one of the few suggestions from our Latvia vs. England AI prediction that not only seems sensible, but can also be turned into a worthwhile bet.
Often, I simply don’t think the odds offered for Latvia vs. England are high enough for the respective betting scenario!
Predicted chance of winning:
| Latvia win |
Draw |
England win |
| 1.8% |
9% |
89.3% |
Meanwhile, under 2.5 goals is only for the daring sports betting fans among you. However, the odds are excellent at an average of 3.20! And don’t forget that the Three Lions won both games against Andorra (!) by only 1-0 and 2-0.
England to win to nil is a sensible suggestion, but not a profitable one. In the first leg, the Balts had an xG value of only 0.31, but the average odds of 1.37 attached to this bet in the event of success are simply not worth mentioning.
Half-time/full-time 2/2 also seems sensible at first glance. After all, the Balts have not survived the first half without conceding a goal in any of their last four international matches.
But here, too, I would caution you: the Latvia vs. England odds of 1.33 on average traded on the markets are only suitable for inclusion on a longer combination betting slip.
What you need to consider when betting on Latvia vs. England
- In the last match in March, Latvia only managed three shots and 0.31 xG, two of which were from distance. The third was considered a “big chance” according to OPTA.
- Jordan Pickford surpassed Gordon Banks’ record for England’s longest streak without conceding a goal against Wales. He has remained unbeaten in international matches for over a year.
- In the last meeting, England started with a -3.5 Asian handicap. Latvia covered the spread and handed handicap bettors a win.
- With his goal against Wales, Bukayo Saka became England’s all-time leading Arsenal goalscorer (13 goals), overtaking Cliff Bastin after 86 years.
