One day after extending the contract of first-choice goalkeeper Tim Boss, SV Elversberg also extended the expiring contract of third-choice goalkeeper Frank Lehmann. The 35-year-old, who has been with the club since 2017 and experienced the complete promotion from the Regionalliga Südwest – still as the starting keeper up to the winter break of 2021/22 – will remain the longest-serving player on the squad in the 2025/26 season. In addition to this, he continues his dual role as goalkeeper coach at the NLZ. Lehmann made his last professional appearance around two years ago; in the current season, he has played three times for the second team in the Saarlandliga.
