For the upcoming Bundesliga cracker of the 26th matchday, I took a closer look at the Leverkusen Bayern tip. On Saturday, two giants will meet at the BayArena, both of whom also had to play in the Champions League during the week.
My main tip is aimed at a high-scoring game. I bet on “Both to score & Over 2.5 goals”. Betano offers strong odds of 1.65 for this. The Munich team is a goal machine, but defensively anything but solid lately.
Bayern have only kept a clean sheet once in the last ten league games. At the same time, Leverkusen have scored in every single home game this season. There should be something in it on both sides, right? That’s a bank!
If we take a look at the Leverkusen Bayern odds, the Munich team travels as favorites. The bookmakers give them a whopping 63% chance of winning, which makes the balance of power clear. FCB are enthroned at the top with an eleven point lead.
For Vincent Kompany’s team, it’s not just about the championship. They are chasing the age-old goal record of 101 goals from the 1971/72 season and could even break the points record of 2012/13. So the motivation is huge.
Leverkusen, on the other hand, are fighting doggedly for a place in the Champions League. The dramatic 3-3 draw in Freiburg was a small setback in the race for the Champions League. A win against the leaders would of course be worth its weight in gold.

If you prefer to bet on the winner, a bet on Bayern is of course an option. Despite the double burden of the Champions League, they have one more day off and the necessary squad depth to dominate the game.

Bayern’s offense breaks all records. In the Bundesliga, the record champions have scored 92 goals after 25 games. And in the Champions League, too, they flexed their muscles in the 6-1 win against Atalanta Bergamo. “Bayern over 2.5 goals” at odds around 2.20.
For the second tip, the digital brain takes aim at the bet “Bayern leads at half-time”. The AI does not believe that Bayer (with one day less recovery) will stop Bayern. The odds are 2.00 in a lucrative range.
If you want to take full risk, you can target an outcome bet. The AI suggests a “3-1 for FC Bayern” here. At odds of about 11.75, of course, you can’t complain.
The best odds for Leverkusen vs. Bayern
I once started our internal analysis tool to check the numbers. The AI sees Bayern clearly ahead. The predicted probability of victory for the Munich team is a strong 54.70%, which underpins the role of favorites.
The calculation gives a probability of 20.10% for a draw, while a home win for the Werkself lands at 25.20%. The odds of the bookmakers reflect this with about 63% for Bayern, who are therefore even more optimistic.
It gets exciting with the goals. Our prediction model expects a high-scoring duel with a total of 3.74 goals. Of course, this supports my main tip on “Both Score & Over 2.5 Goals” immensely and promises a real spectacle.
The distribution of expected goals is also interesting: The AI expects 2.25 goals for Bayern and 1.49 for Leverkusen. That shows that the Werkself should also get their chances despite Bayern’s dominance. So my tip is supported.
The bookmakers set the Asian Handicap Line for over-goals at 3.5. This means that four goals are needed to win. That’s pretty much in line with the AI prediction of 3.74 goals in the game. That’s a hot tip.
The Asian Handicap Line for victory is -1.0 for Bayern. If FCB wins by just one goal, the stake is returned. This is a slightly safer variant than the -0.75, but of course has a lower odds.
Leverkusen vs Bayern Match Analysis:
Even though the championship is virtually decided for Bayern with an 11-point lead, this duel always has a special explosiveness. It is and remains a top match between two of the biggest clubs in Germany.
Everything is at stake for Leverkusen. A win against Bayern could be the much-needed push in the fight for the top four places. However, a slap would massively increase the pressure on coach Kasper Hjulmand. This will be a test of character.
Although Leverkusen play at home, I expect Bayern to win the game. In the last five direct duels, the Werkself have had an average of only 43% possession. This is unlikely to change, Bayern will dominate.
Both teams are ice-cold in front of goal. Bayern beat their expected goals (xG) by an incredible 18.13, while Leverkusen are also very efficient with 48 goals from an xG of 42.23. Effectiveness will be the key to success.
The Munich team shoots on goal an average of almost 19 times per game. Against Leverkusen, however, there were only around 12 shots in the last few duels. So the Werkself know how to contain Bayern a bit. That gives courage for the home side.
In the first leg, FC Bayern won 3-0 and allowed Leverkusen only a single shot on target. But I expect Hjulmand’s team to be able to set more accents offensively this time, especially in front of their own crowd.
Leverkusen form check
The mood at the Werkself is tense. The form curve is pointing downwards, and the discussions about coach Kasper Hjulmand are getting louder. Only two wins from the last six league games are simply not enough for the club’s standards.
Since the 3-1 win against Leipzig in December 2025, Leverkusen have not been able to beat a team from the top four. This shows that it has simply not been enough to play at the top against the direct competition recently.
The last league game in Freiburg was a real spectacle. At 3-3, the team came back twice, only to concede the late equaliser in the end – just like recently in the 1-1 draw against Arsenal. This wears on the nerves and self-confidence of the players.
The defence remains the problem child. In Freiburg, they were even lucky that a second late goal was withdrawn by VAR due to a narrow offside position. It has to be more stable, otherwise it will be very difficult against Bayern.
The absence of Alejandro Grimaldo is particularly bitter. He picked up the suspension against Freiburg and is now missing against Bayern, of all teams. His absence as a driver and scorer will leave a huge gap in the Werkself’s game.
Statistically, it lacks the penetrating power of earlier days. Only 4.56 shots on goal per game are a clear indication of the offensive doldrums. The team is clearly lagging behind the numbers of recent seasons and needs to improve.
Bayern Form Check
Bayern arrive in absolute top form. With an eleven point lead and only nine games to go, the championship is only a formality. Vincent Kompany’s team is in a league of its own this season.
The offense is historically good. 92 goals after 25 games have never been scored in the Bundesliga before. The record of 101 goals is shaking tremendously. Only nine goals are missing to catch up with the legends of 1971/72 and make history.
After a short period of weakness against Augsburg and Hamburg, the Munich team have regained their composure. Five league wins in a row, including the important success in the classic against Dortmund, speak for themselves. The Meister-Express is rolling.
Harry Kane is the life insurance with 45 goals in all competitions. Even though he has been injured recently, he is almost impossible to replace. But Luis Díaz (20 goals) and Michael Olise (15 goals) jump into the breach at any time.
In the 4-1 win against Gladbach, you could see the incredible depth of the squad. Despite Kane’s absence, Díaz, Laimer, Musiala and Jackson scored. This squad can easily compensate for any absence, which is the big advantage over the competition.
There is a small drop of bitterness: Manuel Neuer is missing with a torn muscle fibre. Young Jonas Urbig is also out injured. In view of 34 wins in 39 competitive games, however, this is unlikely to throw Bayern off track.
