Bayer Leverkusen are still on course for the treble after reaching the DFB Cup final and the almost certain championship celebrations planned for this May in the city on the Rhine.
Only eight teams remain in the knockout phase of the Europa League and quite a few German bookmakers believe the Werkself have a good chance of lifting this coveted trophy in the end.

I took note of the NEObet welcome bonus, but I grudgingly accepted the Bayer Leverkusen West Ham odds!
Quite frankly, an average of 1.48 is almost too low for a B04 win. The 4.50 and 6.50 for a draw and away win respectively are much more worthwhile.

The soccer gods seem to finally want to turn the Werkself into German champions!
Because when games threaten to get tough, Leverkusen are usually helped out of trouble by the opponent’s recklessness with a red card.
This was the case just a few days ago against Union Berlin, for example, where an opponent who played with ten men for large parts of the game was narrowly dispatched 1:0.
But a three-pointer remains a three-pointer and with the ninth in a row, nobody doubts that B04 will knock the record champions off the Bundesliga throne at the end of the season
Meanwhile,
West Ham have played their way up to seventh place in the Premier League, which nevertheless deserves immense recognition.
Due to the high level of performance, finishing ahead of wealthy teams such as Newcastle and Chelsea is worthy of special praise.
Leverkusen and sports betting fans would also do well not to underestimate the English side too much.
West Ham United have already eliminated one German opponent in the Europa League this season, beating SC Freiburg 5-1 in the round of 16.
However, the Londoners lost the away game in question 0:1 in the Black Forest.
Odds analysis
A possible 2:1 for Leverkusen is so likely for me that I would not recommend a bet according to the pattern bet 1 with HC -1.
Tip 1 & Over 2.5 goals, on the other hand, makes much more sense, especially as the odds of around 2.07 are not bad either.
But if, like me, you are so convinced of an England goal, then it is probably worth placing a bet of the type Tip 1 & both goals, as it promises by far the highest payout from this list with an average of 2.85.
Schick, the man for the important goals!
The headline says it all, as the Czech has already scored many an important last-minute goal for Leverkusen this season, including against Qarabag in the round of 16.
Patrik Schick has even scored in each of his last four Europa League appearances for B04, netting five goals, four of which came as a substitute.
Incidentally, only Rodrigo Palacio for Inter in the 2012-13 season (5 goals) has ever scored more goals as a substitute in a Europa League season.
If the Czech starts from the beginning on Thursday, he’s my man for a goal bet at odds of 2.20!
Leverkusen are unbeatable at home!
In view of the Werkself’s recent performances, one can certainly argue that they have completely lost the ease of the first half of the season.
Moreover, with a little imagination, one could also put forward the theory that West Ham United could be ahead in the overall standings after the first and second legs.
However, the emphasis is deliberately on the “second leg”, as the data shows that Leverkusen simply cannot be beaten on the Rhine
Leverkusen have won all four of their home games in the Europa League this season, scoring at least three goals in each match (17 goals in total).
Incidentally, the only club in the history of this competition to win five games in a row and score at least three goals in every game was Chelsea London in the 2018/19 season.
No German team has ever scored more than 17 goals at home in a single Europa League season, which alone makes B04 unique!
However, that is of course not the only reason why almost all experts have sided with the Rhinelanders. They have already celebrated seven victories in this competition and are now approaching a historic all-time record for the club!
Only in the legendary 2001/02 campaign have they won more games in a single European Cup season (8), while only in the 1994/95 (26) and 2001/02 (29) seasons have they scored more goals than this season (24).
My Leverkusen West Ham tip:
The visitors will put up a better fight than many experts currently assume.
Consequently, a 2:1 is much more likely than a possible 3:0, 4:1 or even 4:0, as the bookmakers would like you to believe based on their Leverkusen West Ham odds.
Should the “Hammers” even come away with an acceptable result, pretty much anything would be possible in the second leg.
But based on everything I’ve seen so far this season, a win for the Rhinelanders should be inevitable on Thursday.
