After only eight league games, Markus Fiedler is already history at 1. FC Magdeburg. As the second division’s bottom club announced on Sunday evening, the club has released the 39-year-old, who took over the position in the summer as successor to successful coach Christian Titz. The two assistant coaches, Andreas Schumacher and Saban Uzun, also have to leave. Petrik Sander and Pascal Ibold, who previously coached Magdeburg’s U23 team, will take over the team on an interim basis.
