Majetschak can imagine staying in Aue

Central defender Erik Majetschak has been playing for Erzgebirge Aue since 2019 and is the second-longest-serving player in the squad of the acutely relegation-threatened third division club after Martin Männel. The 26-year-old, who has played 23 times so far this season, can also get used to staying in the regional league: “Aue is my heart club, and if the structures are created, I can imagine staying,” Majetschak said on “Tag24”. “I’ve been here for seven years now, I still know the strong second division years and I’m logically partly responsible for the misery of the last few years.” Attacker Erik Weinhauer, who was brought in from Jena last summer, thinks similarly: “Although the season went so badly, I like the club and it has grown close to my heart.”
