Mamelodi Sundowns – Fluminense Tip Club World Cup, Group F on Wednesday, 25.06.2025 at 21:00
The day of reckoning has arrived – and from a German perspective, we are keeping a particularly close eye on what is happening in Group F! Anyone who thinks that a South African underdog has settled in here and will be left trailing behind with no points is mistaken.
I won’t keep you in suspense for long: I’m betting that we’ll see a fast-paced, exciting soccer game in which both teams score. The latest results of the two Club World Cup participants? One 3-4 and one 4-2.
Of course, these two results alone are not enough to back up my betting recommendation. So I’ve done some research to find all the important facts and, of course, I’ll tell you what we can expect from the AI in terms of betting on this match.
Mamelodi Sundowns – Fluminense Prediction & Betting
Mamelodi Sundowns want to show that they have what it takes to reach the round of 16. Since they already got off to a strong start against BVB, I can well imagine that they will start boldly and be rewarded for it. If they score the first goal of the game, you can secure odds of 2.57 for the corresponding bet at Betano.
Also a bit riskier, but very interesting, is the bet “Mamelodi scores in the first half.” The odds jump to a not insignificant 2.32. If you go straight for “Both teams score” in the first 45 minutes, we’re even at 4.50.
If you prefer to take a little less risk, you can simply bet on “Double Chance 1X” after the first half. For this tip, you get odds of 1.48, which shouldn’t be unrealistic if the South Africans have their defense under control.
Mamelodi Sundowns – Fluminense: Odds analysis
You already know the game from previous Club World Cup predictions: a look at the AI is a must. What are ChatGPT’s assessments, and which betting tips can I recommend with a clear conscience?
I’ll start with a very interesting tip: Lucas Ribeiro will score. The Sundowns striker has already worked his magic against Dortmund and is the team’s offensive superstar. So that’s a suggestion I can definitely get behind.
At the same time, ChatGPT doesn’t necessarily advise you to expect a spectacle, but rather sees good chances for a maximum of two goals. Basically, “under 2.5 goals” is of course possible, but my betting recommendation of “both teams to score” would still be valid with a 1-1 draw.
A very exciting option is the bet “Fluminense wins 1-0 or 2-1.” Here, the AI suggests that the Brazilians are the favorites, but only slightly. I also expect a hard-fought match with Sundowns never giving up, so this tip is definitely conceivable.
You can take significantly less risk by going for the “Double chance X2 with under 3.5 goals” bet. Admittedly, I like this combination. It’s not a bad option for Wednesday either, as it often suggests a close game.
“Draw at half-time” – either 0-0 or 1-1 – is the next AI option that I think is not bad. Mamelodi especially needs the win, but must not take any risks too early. The result could be a somewhat cautious start.
The best odds for Mamelodi Sundowns vs. Fluminense
You probably already guessed it: the odds from our tax-free bookmakers are pointing in a clear direction. Fluminense is the clear favorite. If you want to bet on a Brazilian victory, you can still get good value at odds of 1.90 on average.
The odds for Mamelodi Sundowns are somewhat different. However, odds of 3.90 also show that while a victory would be surprising, it would not be an absolute football sensation.
A draw would mean the end for the South Africans, while Fluminense could take first place in Group F. Accordingly, neither team is likely to be looking for a draw, with odds of 3.60 on offer.
Logically, the same applies to the double chance: an “X2” at 1.30 is not particularly profitable. However, if you definitely think the Sundowns are capable of getting a point after their 3-4 showdown against Dortmund, you’re in good shape with 1.90.
Mamelodi Sundowns vs Fluminense match analysis:
Be honest: how well did you know Mamelodi Sundowns before the start of this Club World Cup? I must admit that I haven’t followed the top club from South Africa closely. A few weeks ago, they lost the CAF Champions League final to FC Pyramids, but that and their national championship title speak for a fairly stable season.
In the US, Sundowns kicked off in Group F against Ulsan HD. In a clash between the underdogs, they secured an important 1-0 win, were the clearly better team with almost 70% possession and 716:322 passes played. With three points in the bag, the players took to the field a few days later with confidence against Borussia Dortmund and came within a hair’s breadth of taking a point off BVB.
Mamelodi took the lead in the 3-4 defeat, but then conceded four goals. Give up and lose even more? Not the South Africans. They didn’t give up, scored twice and ensured that Dortmund had to fear for the win until the final whistle. Once again, it was Sundowns who set the pace in this match: more possession, more passes, more shots – not a matter of course against Dortmund!
Now it’s clear: Dortmund and Fluminense are on four points, Mamelodi on three, and Ulsan has none. Assuming that BVB wins against Ulsan, Mamelodi would have to beat Fluminense to advance to the round of 16. An immensely difficult task, but nothing seems impossible in this tournament.
The Brazilians were by no means unbeatable in their last outing. They fell behind twice in a lively game against Ulsan HD, but equalized twice and saved two offensive tricks for the final phase. They won 4-2 in the end, with Fluminense scoring three of the four goals in the second half.
The team had 25 shots, eight of which were on target, and the three points were definitely deserved. The spectators were treated to a stark contrast to the first matchday, when Fluminense played out a 0-0 draw against Borussia Dortmund. But in this match, too, one thing was clear: the performance was spot on.
Fluminense had a total of 39 shots in both games, which is definitely impressive. So what about the bet “Over 1.5 goals Fluminense” on Wednesday? Betano is offering odds of 1.93, which is by no means a bad value.
However, my Mamelodi Fluminense tip is clear: Both teams to score.
