The two biggest winners of the previous week face each other! Both the Citizens and the Spurs celebrated convincing shutout victories on the first day of the Premier League season.
But in the direct duel, I’m siding with the Sky Blues in my Manchester City Tottenham tip without much hesitation.

City look like they have rediscovered their old strength! No other Premier League team has collected more points (26) since the beginning of April, and Guardiola’s side are the only ones to remain unbeaten (8 wins, 2 draws).
They are also impressive defensively: With seven clean sheets and only 7.6 shots on target per game, City currently has both the most stable defense and the best run in the league.
Manchester City – Tottenham Prediction & Betting
Here are my personal tips for the Manchester City vs. Tottenham game – all of them are my own assessments, which I would like to share with you.
My first tip is: “ManCity to win” at odds of around 1.50. This is an obvious choice for me because Tottenham are currently struggling away from home.
The Spurs have failed to win any of their last six away games in the Premier League – against a home team like City, that’s a clear disadvantage.
My second tip is “Reijnders to score” at odds of 4.80. I really like this tip because the Dutchman put in a powerful performance on the first matchday.

- With 86 goals in 98 games, Haaland is the most successful goalscorer under Pep Guardiola, overtaking Sterling (85 in 194) and Agüero (82 in 125).
Manchester City – Tottenham: AI tip & odds analysis
The Spurs have scored plenty of goals at the Etihad in recent years. Since the start of 2022, Tottenham have scored a total of 12 times in four games at this venue. These games averaged 5.25 goals.
I therefore rate the suggestion “Tottenham to score over 1.5 goals” as a particularly promising AI tip at odds of around 3.15.

The Spurs could well score twice, but the Citizens are likely to score the first goal of the game. After all, Manchester City has scored the first goal in each of its last seven games.
ManCity and Tottenham scored a combined seven goals on the first day of the Premier League. Both offenses looked extremely dangerous. That’s why I think “Over 2.5 goals” is a promising bet, even at odds of only 1.50.

The clash between Man City and Tottenham promises to be a real highlight. The Sky Blues were very strong in their opening game against Wolves, especially the new midfield.
Nico González dominated as the playmaker in front of the defense with 72 accurate passes, allowing Reijnders and Bernardo Silva to constantly find dangerous spaces. Tottenham will have to stop this creativity if they want to have a chance.
The Spurs, on the other hand, are relying on toughness in midfield: Sarr and Bergvall are tasked with breaking up City’s ball circulation and carrying the game forward quickly. With Kudus and Johnson, they have two extremely fast attacking players who will keep City’s full-backs busy.
Frank could even opt for a five-man defense to be even more compact and bring Johnson on later as a wild card.
City will have a lot of possession, but Tottenham have shown in recent years how dangerous they are on the counterattack – last season’s 4-0 win at the Etihad is still fresh in the memory.
So it should be a game in which City presses and Spurs waits for their moment.
Manchester City form check
Manchester City opened their Premier League season with a real statement: a clear 4-0 win at Wolves that immediately showed how much quality and enthusiasm there is in the team.
New signing Tijjani Reijnders was particularly in the spotlight, scoring one goal and providing two assists on his debut – a performance that immediately reminded many fans of club legend Kevin De Bruyne.
With his creativity and dynamism, he was the driving force in midfield and became only the second player in City’s history after Sergio Agüero to score and provide an assist on his Premier League debut.
This is a real stroke of luck for Pep Guardiola, as Reijnders brings a new dimension to the attacking play.
Tottenham form check
Tottenham also made a real statement at the start of the new Premier League season, beating Burnley 3-0. It was a perfect debut for coach Thomas Frank, who made his debut on the Spurs bench.
Richarlison was particularly impressive, providing the highlight of the game with a spectacular overhead kick and looking like a different player overall.
New signing Mohammed Kudus also played a decisive role, providing creativity and energy on the right wing and being directly involved in both of Richarlison’s goals.
For the fans, this was a welcome ray of hope after a weak preseason in which the team disappointingly finished in 17th place.
