Premier League, Sunday, 02/02/2025 at 3:00 PM
When you have to endure scorn and ridicule as Manchester United, then something is not right! The Red Devils have sunk into the lower midfield of the Premier League and have nothing to do with the title race.
Victories? They can’t be taken for granted, nor can they be expected. On Sunday, they will try again at home against a team that has not been beaten away from home in over four months. So it’s no wonder that in my current Manchester United Crystal Palace tip, I’ll tell you why I’m eyeing the “double chance X2” here.
Ruben Amorim is in an unenviable position. Care for a few statements from the last few weeks? For example, there’s the sentence that in two months as Manchester United manager, he would have aged ten years in two months. Or the one that he is currently coaching the worst team in Red Devils history.
To cut a long story short: the new coach is not having a good season either; United is at most still a big name. The sporting radiance is gone, and now there is also trouble with superstar Marcus Rashford.
That a superstar is not automatically solely responsible for victories? Logical. Of course, this also applies to Travis Kelce, who will soon be competing for the Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs.
But haven’t they actually won recently? The statement is basically true, but the shaky 1-0 win over Fulham didn’t really convince anyone. Three of the last ten games ended successfully, but none of the wins were really convincing.

Manchester have only managed to go into half-time with a lead three times this season, but they have won all three of those games. So that means: half-time 1 = final score 1.
For the brave among you: you can of course place this bet with Betano. Once you have completed registration and found the tip, odds of 3.35 await you.
With four defeats in the last five home games, the fans have been sorely tried anyway, and three times during this period there were three goals conceded. Can I at least report that Crystal Palace is one of our favorite opponents?
0:0, 0:4, 0:1 – definitely not recently! With three wins from their last seven home games, two of which were very close, things are looking mediocre, which of course also affects the odds.
If you take a look at our Apple Pay bookmakers, you’ll see odds ranging from 2.10 to 3.50. At Crystal Palace, we know that at Old Trafford we regularly had double-digit odds on our side.
The Eagles, coached by Oliver Glasner, have two points less in their account, but they shouldn’t be really satisfied with that either. After a strong phase of ten points from three games, they lost again a few days ago.
They even scored the one goal themselves, which had been missing since the end of November. By the way, Crystal Palace has already gone into half-time with a 0-0 draw ten times, six times when playing away.
This special outcome bet would give you odds of 2.87, and in terms of bookmakers, I just stuck with Betano. In this regard, I should also mention that Glasner’s team has only conceded nine goals in the first half anyway.
Is the knot still breaking at Manchester United or is this 2024/25 season ending as drearily as it currently seems? The Red Devils are completely unsettled and now face Crystal Palace, a team that is not easy to play against.
The Eagles have been doing well for months, especially away from home, hardly conceding any defeats and dealing with defeats very sparingly. In addition, they have not conceded a goal in three games against United.
All in all, this means that I can’t really imagine how the hosts will take the three points on Sunday. So I can only guess:
Crystal Palace scores at Old Trafford!
