A little more than a year after his end as Saudi Arabian national coach, Roberto Mancini is back on the Arabian Peninsula. On Thursday, Al-Sadd – defending champions of the Qatari Stars League – presented the 60-year-old as the new head coach. Mancini, who in his 25 years as a coach had won the championship three times in Italy with Inter Milan and once in England with Manchester City and had led Italy to the 2021 European Championship title, signed a contract until the summer of 2028 in Doha.
