In the search for a successor to Dusan Vlahovic, whose contract expires in the summer, Juventus Turin seems to have an eye on ex-Mainz player Jean-Philippe Mateta from Crystal Palace – this is reported by various Italian media. The only sticking point is still the transfer fee. According to the “Gazzetta dello Sport”, Crystal Palace had alternatively proposed a swap deal, in which Jonathan David would move to the Eagles in return, but Juve rejected this. Mateta’s contract in London runs until 2027.
