Timetable & start time for the Barcelona MotoGP
The final of the 2024 season in MotoGP takes place this weekend. Due to the floods, the showdown of the premier class of motorcycle racing will take place in Barcelona and not in Valencia as planned.
The schedule starts with the first free practice session, which begins at 10:45 CET on Friday (November 15). The second practice session at the Circuit de Catalunya is scheduled for a few hours later in the afternoon at 15:00 CET.
On Saturday (November 16), the Barcelona MotoGP schedule continues at 10:10 am with the second free practice session. This will be followed by the last qualifying session of 2024 from 10:50 am to 11:30 am.
On Saturday, the start time is 3:00 pm for the sprint race, which could already decide the world championship!
On Sunday, the Grand Prix will take place as usual. The start time of the Barcelona Grand Prix of Solidarity is at 2:00 p.m.
A total of 24 laps are on the agenda for the MotoGP players at the Circuit de Catalunya. By then, at the latest, it will be clear who has won the World Championship showdown between Jorge Martin and Francesco Bagnaia.

Who will win the race in Barcelona – and how will the World Championship showdown between Jorge Martin and Francesco Bagnaia end?
The situation before the World Championship finale is as follows: Martin leads the standings with 485 points, Bagnaia has 24 points less.
This means that if Martin wins the sprint on Saturday, he will be crowned the new MotoGP world champion before the Grand Prix on Sunday! Conversely, the Italian needs to gain as many points as possible on Martin in the sprint race to still have a chance of winning the world championship on Sunday.
Martin is the “sprint king” of the MotoGP class (16 wins in total), so the chances are not bad that he will be crowned world champion as early as Saturday.
But: Bagnaia has already won this season’s first race in Barcelona and Martin has never won at the Circuit de Catalunya.
Who else, besides the top duo, is in with a chance of winning the BArcelona MotoGP race on Sunday? Marc Marquez and Enea Bastianini have been putting in strong results in recent weeks. But Pedro Acosta, Alex Marquez and Fabio Quartararo are also in with a chance of a top finish.
