Following the split between Benfica Lisbon and head coach Bruno Lage, José Mourinho is on the verge of returning to the place where his head coaching career once began. The 60-year-old landed in the Portuguese capital on Wednesday evening and said: “Benfica has officially asked me if I’m interested. What coach would say no to Benfica? Not me, anyway.” Official confirmation from the club is still pending.
